Spring vacation

We stayed with the kids at oasis palm during spring break. We liked the rooms very much, were comfortable, we had a lagoon view which was ok. There is no mini bar in the rooms though. The resort is kids friendly, with lots of activities for the kids, my boys had an amazing time. There is a good food variety, the seafood restaurant is so tasty. I didn't like that we had to stand in lines to enter the buffet specially at dinner time. The beach is not good at all, small and a lot of weeds in the water. They share the facility with the grand oasis Palm so there are some restaurants that you can't enter unless yo upgrade, which was no problem for us as there are enough places to eat in oasis Palm. I have to say that the staff in this resort are all so nice, professional and very helpful.

Overall review

Package price was fine Felt room was SUPER small and service was just ok. Bathroom setup was not effective for 4 people. Room did not come standard with iron and we had to frequently ask for clean towels. Front desk called the room several times to check in on us but at very odd times.

Recent stay

We had stayed with you a few times and were happy some positive improvements from last time. Service was better, rooms were a little old compared to Grand and no minibar. One inconvenience were the beach chairs; old, broken, not enough and no control. People will take the cushions and use them on top of the blue chairs who did not require one and the rest were forced to use the hard plastic ones, very uncomfortable. Definitely a need to purchase enough chairs and cushions. Maybe some extras will help. Service was good everywhere, one associate stood out, the beach drinks waiter Hervin. Great personality and caring, always asking if we were comfortable and ready to assist with anything. Great service. Will be back.

Just OK. Caution family vs spring breakers...

The place was fairly rated before we booked. The rooms were not as bad as people reviewed them. They were clean. Resort is old and they keep it pretty clean. It is certainly not perfect but what you pay it was fair. This is not a place for young kids/family over spring break. It was a big college party crowd, a lot of bumping' and grindin', kids trashed, puking all over beach, chairs and hotel hallways and rooms. I did see bartenders cut some off and security escorted them off the beach if they were staggering too bad but not a sight you necessarily want little kids to see. Drink lines long as there were only a couple places to get drinks but Laura on the beach provided great service if you tipped. The food was pretty horrible. Same every day. No deviations They would run out of tortilla chips and were stingy with guacamole. The omelette bar was the way to go in the mornings. The sushi and snack hut with burgers, chicken tenders and fries was good for easy access for the kids. (good to soak up the alcohol for the college kids who couldn't hold their booze!). The staff was either extremely rude or extremely nice. No in-between. The pool was fairly shaded most of the day and the water was freezing this time of year. Didn't bother the kids and it was a good cool off after being on the beach in the sun. Activities were ok, kids had fun. Other resorts we have been to have more to do, more entertainment. There were a couple of shows that were good in the theatre. The photographer was awesome. His name was Carlos; however, WAY OVER PRICED! We wouldn't pay what they wanted for a professional photo shoot in the USA. They wanted $800 for all photos on a CD! Insane! He spent a good hour with our family and we were only out $20. The animal photos was cool I purchased transfers through Cheap Carribean and they overbooked our return (and the following return after ours) to the airport so we had to pay for a taxi to get to the airport. Not cool. We wouldn't go back to this resort but it was a decent experience for the money.
