great resort
this resort just opened when I visited so there weren't that many people there and everything still seemed a bit confusing to the staff. Overall, the experience was good and I would go there again. I definitely recommend this resort.
Our vacation could not have been more perfect. Our flight was on-time. Upon arrival into Cancun we were recevied very well by the group who was taking us to our hotel. They gave us a warm welcome and was easily identifyable by the bright green and blue uniforms. Our ride to the hotel was short and I didn't mind the extra stops to drop off a couple other passengers. This way we were able to see a couple other resorts. Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in was easy and we were even given a welcome cocktail; such a nice touch. We were taken to our room in a golf cart which I thought was nice. It was much better than being given a map and being sent off on our own.
Our accomodations were very nice! Very modern and comfortable. I loved the decor inside and around the hotel and the resort. The bathroom was the most amazing. It had a huge rain shower that we could both fit in comfortable and a seperate jacuzzi tube. We had double vanity and sinks and a lot of extra space for toiletries. Each day our room was cleaned the staff would do different things so we would know they were there like fixing the wash clothes in funny shapes or the throw across the bed. One day, they even left us a bottle of water at the bedside and turned the tv on this meditating channel.
The resorts restaurants were delicious. Each day a differnt one was closed so it would kind of force you to try new things. Each meal was prepared very nice and it made it seem as they each dining experience was a fine dining experience. The staff was very attentive and remembered you. They made a point to ask for last names so that you could be addressed by name. I guess there were a couple restaurant managers and I remember on our last day we saw the same manager he remembered us from the night before from a different restaurant and made sure we had unparalleled service.
On our actual anniversary night, we made reservations for a private dinner on the beach. The view was amazing. Approaching the chuppah-like structure was a trail lit by candles that led us to our table. Our personal waiter was awaiting us and acknowledged us by ame. We had 5-courses and sat for hours just chatting and taking it all in; not once did I feel rushed. It was the most beautiful and private experience I've ver had.
The resort did a really good job with trying to make it seem as though you were in your city and did not really have to leave to have a great time. They had different activities each day, different specialty drinks and different foods. They even had rain options for if the weather was bad. Amazing.
We really enjoyed our anniversary trip and cannot wait to take the next one.

I paid by credit card before my trip and while there, so I am sure you should be able to make payments before you get there.

Now Jade is great for all inclusive. If you are looking for privacy, any hotel will not offer that. Adult only ones may be a little more private, but the most private ones would be villas.

Now Jade has enormous rooms. Walk in to a 8 x 8 entry w/ mini fridge/closet. Bathroom has private toilet area, huge walk in shower stall, jucuzzi tub and 2 sink/vanities. Bedroom is either 2 doubles or one king with 2 steps down to sitting area and balcony. We stayed for a week. only complaint on rooms. Loads of marble in hallways, rooms, so not super quiet. Heard doors banging in the middle of the night. :( Hope this helps.

This resort is new (opened November 2008) and offers family-friendly activities, great food and nicely decorated rooms. We love the Preferred Club suites which have a private pool and beach area - definitely worth the upgrade!
What We'd Change
The lounge chairs on the beach are snatched up quickly each day, so wake up early and claim your seat. Or you can always grab a beach towel from the resort and set up camp on the sand.
Why You Should Go
You can't beat the location of Now Jade Riviera Cancun. The Riviera Maya area feels like a private island, but shopping, archeological attractions and golf are close at hand.
