This is our 3rd trip to the area and this was by far the best resort we have been at. We were picked up in a timely manner at the airport and after the 10 min. trip to the hotel we were checked in and off to our room in under 15 minutes! Our room was great, with 2 kids on this trip it couldn't have been in a better location. We stayed in Sunrise and our building was right next to the pool/ kids club area. We had a "resort view" room but since we were on the top level we had ocean views from our balcony. Our room was nicely appointed...fully stocked mini-bar, large jacuzzi tub, hammock on the balcony. We had 3 restaurants to pick from in the Sunrise lobby as well as the outdoor palapa grills and buffets. The food was better than the previous places we have stayed and had large selections which was nice since we have 2 picky kids. The pools were nice, however there is a serious lack of seating in the pool areas. On our first full day at the resort we got to the pool area around 10:30 only to find that there were literally no chairs...LITERALLY! One really nice person from New Jersey gave us an extra one of theirs but that was all we had for four people for several hours until people started leaving to go to dinner. We later found out that people come down starting as early as 6am and put towels and such on chairs to save them until later in the a.m. when they have finished breakfast. So instead of getting to sleep in on vacay we were up each day at 6:30 to ensure we had chairs to sit in. The other negative in my opinion was the beach. There is a ton of seaweed. I know, I know, we are at the beach and sea weed is in the ocean blah blah blah... we are talking a serious amount of seaweed! Having stayed farther south in the past, we were used to the turquoise water and white sand so this was a bit of a shock. They did come down the beach to gather the seaweed but it was on the last day of our 8 day trip. Still, I don't think this is a deal breaker. The $1500 resort credit was nice, but don't be fooled, there is only so much that it could be used for. We don't golf, so that was out. The family pictures were a nice idea but we couldn't get a time because they were always booked. The spa was great, we had massages and it was very relaxing. We actually left with just over $700 in unused credits because most everything that costs money on this resort would not let you use the credits. Still, all in all we had a great time. The staff at this hotel are as nice as any I have ever met. They truly want to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible and there was never one rude person the entire stay. We will definitely be back.
Started out a bit rocky we booked in August a lg family Christmas so naturally wanted to be somewhat close to each others rooms....we requested the Sunrise as was close to everything we wanted they tried to put some of us in the Nizue[sp] and others all over the place[its a very large resort we would never of found each other]took us almost 2 hrs to finally get the rooms settled they keep saying we are full but once they knew we were not being all over the resort there seemed to be rooms...funny how that happens.After that we had a fabulous time loved the golf and spa the 2 restaurants at the golf were our favorites the room's are a tad small but maybe if they kept out the huge hottub in the middle of the room would be better.....Yes we would come again!

Hi Kathy,
Thank you for your question. A 12 year old sharing a double occupancy room with 2 adults would pay approximately 430.00 for their resort stay (not including taxes or airfare). This would be the price if booked today for travel dates 9/25-9/30. Please keep in mind that prices are subject to change.

Rooms for the physically challenged are available on request and located in the Deluxe Room Resort View (5 rooms) and the Superior Deluxe Garden View (13 rooms) room categories.
CONCIERGE LEVEL ROOMS: include everything from the all inclusive package plus ocean front room with a king bed, one (1) 25 minute back massages (per adult, per week with 14 night minimum stay), private check-in / check-out , late check-out / Early check-in (subject to availability), exclusive concierge phone service, upgraded brand of liquors in room dispensers, guaranteed nightly turn down service, nightly petit-fours, espresso machine, DVD/CD player, iPod dock, pillow menu, aromatherapy, L'Occitane En Provence body care products.
GOLF / SPA PACKAGE ROOMS: include one round of golf OR one select spa treatment per adult/per night. Golf/Spa package is interchangeable and can be used in any combination once per day (number of green fees and select spa treatments are based on number of nights booked). Rounds of golf include transportation to and from the golf courses, beverages, snacks, and shared cart.
Available spa treatments included in this golf/spa package are: Aroma Reflexology (50 min), Sport Massage (50 min), Zen Shiatsu (50 min), Invigorating Leg and Foot Massage (25 min) plus Refresher Facial (25 min), Face, Head, and Shoulder Accupressure (25 min) plus Refresher Facial (25 min), and Body Scrub (25 min) plus Manicure or Pedicure (25 min).
Unused rounds of golf or spa treatments for any reason, including weather conditions, are non-refundable and no rain checks will be provided. Golf/Spa package is non-transferrable. Stays that combine golf/spa and non-golf/spa rates are only allowed to book included tee times and spa services during the dates of the golf/spa rate period.
NOTE: Golf/Spa package is not included in child or junior rate. Children ages 13-17 must be booked as adults in order to receive the golf/spa package. This is truly a resort for everyone. Great for families, couples, honeymooners, golfers.....everyone. Nice beach, alot of activity and areas of relaxation too.
What We'd Change
The property is very large and a lot of walking is sometimes necessary but there is so much to do here you can't not enjoy.
