Paradise

Cozumel was a beautiful vacation destination. The Melia Cozumel Golf was a beautiful resort on the Northern Point of the island. The staff were very warm and welcoming. They were very patient as we spoke very little Spanish. The grounds were well kept and looked just the pictures on the website. The food was well prepared and tasty especially breakfast. The room was also very comfortable. While we were there they replaced all of the mattresses (August 2016). The only problem was the moisture in the room. The floors and walls were often damp due to the humidity. However, I would definitely go back.

NEVER Melia Golf Cozumel!

Melia Cozumel Golf Resort's management turned out to be very greedy, refusing to consider my situation when my whole trip got frustrated at the very last moment at check in at the airport because of a problem with a passport...Asked Melia for a chance to transfer whole trip for a little later with money I paid credited till passport problems resolved but got refused with 100% penalty money wise applied. All money burnt...Very disappointed ...

A good deal

My wife and I went for our anniversary and we were pleasantly pleased with the Melia resort. It is a very family oriented resort. The staff and the cleanliness should get a 5 star rating. Our room was big enough and very clean and had a hot tub on the oceanfront porch. The resort is very laid back and relaxing. You don't have to go out at six in the morning to reserve your beach chair. I would go again especially if I had young children or grandchildren. The poolside bartender William is creative and funny. All most all good. The only negatives could just be my personal opinion. I like cold airconditioning and they just didn't seem to have it. Not in our room or the nice dining room. The food was alright. It was good but not great. That was just our opinion. I give the overall resort experience a 3.8 stars the staff 5 stars Cleanliness 5 stars Food 2 stars Beach 2 stars Pool 5 stars

What's to Love

Snorkeling is aahh-mazing - the coral reef here is world-renowned & more than epic.

A world-class golf course is just across the street, but there's mini golf if you wanna take it down a notch.

A great family vacay spot that offers the salvation of an adults-only pool when you need it.

The ridiculously relaxing massages you can get in the spa, by the pool or by the ocean.

The complimentary (read: FREE) scuba lesson that will ready you, or not, for the deep blue.

Hopping on a scooter or moped and checking out Mother Nature's awesomeness around you.

The shows in the evening are pretty darn amusing. The entertainment team has got skillz.

What We'd Change

This Melia hotel in Cozumel is a tad on the small side, but it offers a golf course across the street and scuba and snorkeling expeditions to the world's second largest coral reef.

Why You Should Go

The airport is just five minutes from the airport. Breathe and you'll be on the beach.

Buy your transfers (from us) to and from the airport. It'll be one less thing to worry about.

There are five snazzy, jazzy bars and lounges where you chill or get wild or toggle between the two.

You've got four nosheries with scrumptious cuisine and settings.

Dive into aqua aerobics for the exercise thing, or water polo for the competition thing.

In addition to snorkeling, there's parasailing, motor boating, or Hobie catting (is that a word?).

You can play shuffleboard and tennis, but if you want a smaller court, there's always ping pong.

There's volleyball to enjoy, but if you want near zero physical movement, there's Spanish lessons.

Hotel Description

Melia Cozumel Golf - All-Inclusive Golf, Grub & Beach Greatness

In addition to being All About Golf (which we love), this lovely escape-haven was seemingly designed for all you fair-skinned beach goers because there's nearly a palapa around every palm. A fab place for families, there's a super fun kids' club (Kid's Co), but also, an adults-only pool for those times when separating from your little darlings would be best for everyone. Here's a ginormous plus: the world's second largest coral reef is close by and where you can descend into the deep blue for unmatched electrically colorful fish and other sea life. Finally, the food, drinks, scenery and spa are more than delicious. Was that a "yes, please," we heard? Thought so.

At Melia, the memories begin when you arrive.
