Outstanding Infinity Pools & Beach!

When one first pulls up to entrance, its under-whelming. HOWEVER, once you see the Pools/Outside area @ Frenchmen's Reef - the 2 infinity Pools have argueably the VERY BEST Views of any pools in the world that I have ever seen. Simply outstanding - you are a dozen or so stories in the air, on an amazing Point. Outstandings: 1) The 2 Infiniti pools; Swim Up Bar is awesome as well - somewhat Small, however, again, Top 10 in world VIEWS! 2) The beach; 3) Coco Joes - best restaurant, right on the beach, 20 ' away from waters edge - best food and pricing at this resort, by far. 4) Room Air Conditioner - best I have ever stayed in; 5) Top 10 views in the world. Literally; 6) Tennis Courts - also about 20' from ocean water 7) Check-In and Check-Out process. Average: 1) Food prices very high - yes, realize its an island, etc, however, prices off the resort can be a good half the cost, with more choices and as good, if not better food; 2) Room Service - Little things like toilet paper & coffee were often forgotten.

Ripped Off

I started my vacation one day late because AA canceled my flight. Because I arrived late the hotel gave away my room with a view, which I paid extra for. The hotel did not charge me for the room I did not use but Cheapo C. has not reimbursed me for it. Thanks to AA my 5 day vacation turned into 4 and since the 1st and last day do not really count I basically had a 2 day vacation for the price of a 5 day vacation.

Not worth it!

This resort is NOT worth the money. On the first day of my vacation, the hotel lobby was empty and I waited 1/2 hour just to check in. Upon checking in our room was not ready. We then waited 3 hours for a room. I had to ask the Manager how long more for a room. His reply was, "You didn't get a room yet?". So basically we were forgotten about. He then offered us drinks from the rumbar and an upgraded room with a balcony. Once we got to the room the floor smelt of mold and beach water. The balcony that we were upgraded to was just a view we couldn't open or go outside on the balcony. The rooms are very outdated, they can use a facelift. The lamp shades in our rooms are literally rusting. The hotel staff was very rude and don't dare ask them for something. Especially the staff from the restaurants. One of the pools is restricted to guests that paid for a spa service only. The trail to the beach is full of iguanas. The hotel restaurants are very pricey. We had to go downstairs and requests for our rooms to be cleaned. The resort has lots of potential but they need to invest some money in upgrading and training the staff in customer service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Some of the reviews said the same thing but I wanted to try it out for myself, so much for that.

Marriott Frenchman's Reef Virgin Islands

I would highly recommend this Marriott Resort to anyone traveling to the Virgin Islands. It is a wonderful resort - many amenities! The food and drinks are delicious although very expensive. (To be expected in most upscale Caribbean resorts.) The room was spotless and roomy. The beach and water are beautiful. There are lots of things to do. We took the boat trip to the British Virgin Islands and the boat trip to St Johns - both a must do. The trips can be arranged with the Concierge desk. The islands are absolutely beautiful everywhere you look. They are all around. I would definitely return to the Virgin Islands - you get a real feeling of safety - felt like being at home. After all,it is an American Island,

With 4 pools and a half-mile beach you can stroll to, this resort has tons of choices for swimming and sunbathing. You can start your day at the pools followed by an afternoon at the beach on a lounger. Or, for a little more action, head out on a kayak, or slice through the ocean waves on a super-fast jet ski.
