This was the best vacation so far

I would recommend this resort to anyone who is in love or in any kind of special relationship. If you want to reconcile a relationship please go here. The service was more than amazing ! The attentiveness of the staff was fantastic. It was as if they could read your mind. Rooms were clean, common areas were clean, food was superb. There was something different everyday. The activities were really fun. The live band was great. The DJ could have used some help but overall he was good. You could feel the warmth of the dominican people. I intend to go back i would really like to thank ramon and david for there exquisite welcome and departure. Victor at the front desk was great helping us with our outings he gives great suggestions and directions. Wendy, glen and oliver always showed us love at dining sevices. They always had a smile on their face and were pleasant, i know its there job but they do it well. My only complaint about this whole experience is that the drinks were never cold enough for me and i think the mini fridge in the room should be set to a colder temp. Overall i would return and plan to and i would recommend to vacation here you wont be disappointed.

Above Expectations

This resort is everything you could ask for. It's beautiful, the staff is wonderful, the food was good, and the facility is clean and luxurious. If you fly into Santo Domingo it is a pretty long drive to the resort, but it's not too bad. You get to see the country on the drive too. I would recommend booking that transportation when you book your trip. The food was good, although some people complained it was repetitive. Don Pablo's is a really nice restaurant that was delicious. Don't forget dress clothes for the nice dinners! There is also room service 24/7 which is really good. I can't praise the staff enough. They are friendly and work hard. A tip every once in a while goes a long way but you definitely don't have to. The staff is super helpful. One day I was feeling sick and they offered me anything I could think of to help me and always go out of their way. The entertainment is not amazing, but it's still good. I did not leave the resort, but didn't have a reason to. You can go over to the island for free where the sister resort is. Going to the island was enough of an authentic experience for me since it's a public beach and there are all of the same restaurants/shops that you pass outside of the resort. All and all I recommend this place. They truly put the customer first and it has everything you could ask for.

Amazing

Amazing is the best way to describe this hotel. The attention to detail and service can't be matched by many. Food was always delicious and they were always aware to make sure you cup was never empty. Daily games add to the fun and evening events keep the nights lively. Plentyof shade on the beach and the pool is great. During our trip my wife got sick and they had a doctor on call and even had a person go into the city with us to get medication. We'realready planning our return trip. The drive to the hotel is easy with the highway(make sure to have your toll money ready.... About 500 pesos each way).

Best Resort.... EVER!!

There is no way to describe the beauty of this resort or the quality of the service! First know: if you fly into the Santo Daningo airport, get a private car! The drive to the resort is 3hours long. Don't get freaked out by the neighborhoods that you drive through. Sit tight and wait for the big white gate! Once we got in the lobby, Annie said, Calm down. You're on vacation now." I guess I was a little tightly wound. Annie and Ramon worked on all the details and sent us to eat after offering us drinks. There was not a single thing we wanted that they didn't bring before we could ask. The resort only has 100 beds, so this is not Spring Break. We only saw 20 other people on the whole resort. Get the superior room and upgrade if necessary. The butlers for my room were David and Jennifer. Excellent. The managers work their teams with military precision. The entertainment staff were fun. Thank you Kettia for the Spanish lesson. The private car arrangements were taken care of for us. And the bar served Jack Daniels!!!!! Wonderful Resturant service. Thank you Oliver! Super clean. Super nice. Great drink options. A lot of steps, but so worth it! No moldy smell. Great food that feels as if someone's grandma is in the back cooking every meal! Very clean beach and very private. And make sure you go to both gift shops!

What's to Love

Luxury Bahia Principe Samana is located in one of the best spots you could hope for, on a hilltop overlooking the bay.

The grounds are absolutely immaculate, the pool deck provides a stunning, panoramic view of the bay and Caribbean and there's a staircase right to the side that takes you down to the beach.

The little things make the vacation, and when you have a staff as attentive as they are here, it makes your getaway above and beyond.

The food is incredible, after slamming down a couple of Don Pablo's chocolate fantasies you may redefine the definition of "chocolate wasted" (still worth it).

Everything is incredibly well thought out, your proximity to an array of activities are just a few steps, or stumbles, from your room whether it be the pool, beach or exciting nightlife in town.

What We'd Change

We wish there were a little more dining venue options but the theme dinners at the buffet every night more than make up for it. Not to mention plenty more dining options and a thrilling nightlife just minutes away!

Why You Should Go

Luxury Bahia Principe Samana is located right alongside the beautiful Samana bay and is secluded enough to keep you from all the noise that comes with more populated areas.

On top of its perfect seclusion, it's also in close proximity to some of the best tours Samana has to offer including El Limon Waterfall, Playa Rincon and Los Hiatuses National Park.

If you can find the time, get here in February. That's peak whale watching season where the cozy waters of the DR greet three to five thousand whales annually as they mate and reproduce. February truly is the month of love.

The lush, tropical jungle surrounding the resort is perfect for an impromptu nature walk while admiring the views of the bay.

Luxury Bahia Principe Samana offers a complimentary sea shuttle to the exceptionally beautiful Cayo Leventado, better known as Bacardi Island.

Hotel Description

Luxury Bahia Principe Samana: Live it Up Like Royalty

Whether you are due for a getaway or it's time to round up the pack for a ladies weekend (or week, both are totally acceptable), it's about time a resort reflects the royal treatment you deserve. At Luxury Bahia Principe Samana, you are royalty, and it, your palace. It's your castle on a hill and the beach is your moat keeping all your pesky stresses at bay - the endless mojitos help, too. After you arrive, good luck not going googly-eyed with the Victorian style architecture (nothing more fitting for royalty), the way it's cushioned into the hillside among thick trees and lush vegetation or how the city lights decorate the hillside across the bay in the evenings.
