Wow.....so unimpressed

Lets start at the beginning. 1. Check in. It was terrible, 4 ladies just stared at everyone and were calling out names instead of just helping the next people in line. After 5 mins of watching them calling out names of people who weren't even there yet people were getting upset. 2. The room. This was suppose to be the Luxury Don Pablo side, the rooms at first glance were just okay. Nothing I would vent about in a review but after steeping on shards of glass, dealing with a shower door that was broken and having to wipe the floor after every shower ( the door let water run all over floor). Not what I was expecting from the so called Luxury side. 3. The pools. Nothing to complain about, they had water so that was good. 4. The bars............Wow. How do you run out of rum at 10 A.M. How do you run out of ice at 11A.M. And how does the entire resort only have 2 blenders. Quite frankly it got exhausting listening to the staff keep telling everyone to relax its Jamaica. No I wont relax, I paid good money to come here you should have a stocked bar. 5. Food. The food was okay nothing crazy. I have had better other places. 6. The staff. I was suprised actually because all our friends raved about Jamaica, the staff here were lazy, untrained and to be honest rude at times. They were constantly texting on their cell phones while you needed their attention. How can a lobby coffee station run out of coffee at 6A.M? How can they also run out of milk? Its 6A.M............ If this resort were to be as organized as it seems their staff is at selling you drugs they would be top notch. I mean I'm no prude but seriously I don't need to be approached 6-8 times a day about buying weed. It was comical at first but got old real quick. The only good thing was the ocean was blue, the sun was hot and I wasn't gonna let it bring me down. I will never visit any resort in this chain again ever. I compared it to the last place I went which was an Iberostar in the Mayan and let me tell you the difference was astounding. I don't wanna paint Jamaica with a large brush here but I will seriously consider somewhere else next time To those who posted a nice review about this place I'm dumbfounded as to how that's even possible.

Poor service

The hotel itself is beautiful but the service and the food is poor. Employees are interested in selling weed instead of providing an excellent service. Food was horrible shrimps were made cooked without pealing them. At the beach if you wanted a drink you have to get up yourself and get it there's no one around to help you. Overall hotel is beautiful but the service and the food were the worst.

Very large hotel that looks nice but spread thin.

This hotel is very pretty, clean and well maintained. Overall a nice place to stay a few days, not 7. Upon arriving on a Sunday almost all dining options were booked out for the week, we paid for the Don Pablo Collection and couldn't eat at the signature Don Pablo restaurant. The restaurants we did get in to were 50/50, good/not good. Most of the places that were "booked up" sat empty when we walked by. The buffets were typical resort food. The hours of operations didn't overlap from main buffets to snack areas. Snack shacks were never open on time, food was good there though. 24hr room service is nice, but school cafe quality. Bar staff was ok. Either they were trying to take 10 orders at once, getting them all wrong, or one drink at a time. No consistency in mix drinks at all. One weak, one super strong. I think some staff training would go along way. All staff was very friendly. Beach is nice on the adult only, the rest are fine, everyone including life guards try to sell you weed and any other drug you might or might not want. Every place to eat or bar is far away from the adult only side. Wear comfortable shoes, a golf cart makes frequent trips back and forth. This place wasn't bad, I just think they are TOO BIG for what I feel we pAid for.

What's to Love

It's an all-inclusive, all-fabulous Beach Bliss Fest.

The evening turn down service, bathrobe and slippers in the room & butler service.

Sipping cocktails, living large, on the private beach.

Getting one free hour of kayaking, paddle surfing, snorkeling & catamaraning.

What We'd Change

Parts of the beach are rocky, but if you bring some water shoes, you'll get to walk around and enjoy those parts of the beach, too.

Why You Should Go

It's 75 minutes from Mobay airport. Patience, young jellyfish. You'll be beaching soon.

Bring your water shoes - parts of the beach are a bit pebble-y.

Before your flight home, hit Club Mobay at the airport for A/C, drinks and lots of spoiling.

Bob Marley's home and the famous Dunn's River Falls are nearby and well worth a visit.
