Awesome place

I can't say anything bad about this place it was really nice, clean and friendly staff!!! I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Punta Cana or stay at one at other destinations. The only thing I wish would of happend is if the Butler would of introduced themselves to us. It sounds lijlike the other guests we met theirs did and they did special things for them. Yes we did tip in the room every day ranging from $4.00 - $8.00.

Best Vacation

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The only complaint I have is the ongoing struggle to have face cloths in our room. Our room was spacious and clean. The resort is gorgeous, very well maintained. The beach is beautiful we enjoyed many walks on the beach. Food was plentiful and delicious! We look forward to going back!

Best Resort So Far

Pros: - Amazingly clean. Staff was constantly cleaning, scrubbing, polishing, sweeping, mopping ...even the bathrooms everywhere were immaculate. - Staff was very friendly and happy to help with anything. - One of the prettiest beaches we've been to in the Caribbean. - Pools: There are three different pools: First, the one closest to the beach was the most active with louder music, aerobics in the pool, and the most crowded. Second, the middle pool and smallest was very quiet with shaded canopies. The bar was limited, but the bartender, Nestor, ran to another bar if you wanted anything he couldn't make. The back pool was more mellow, but big. Compared to the first pool, it didn’t allow ball play. All pools had cocktail service that brought out iced tea, mini sandwiches, and anything else you wanted to order from the bar. They provided a small wooden tray with a drink flag when thirsty. Nice touch. - Food: The meals were excellent for an all-inclusive. Usually when there’s an unlimited supply offered the quality suffers. Bahia, on the other hand, goes above and beyond to provide selection and quality. Beef is usually not the best quality, given import costs in the Caribbean, yet the Rodizio Arrecife restaurant had fillets, prime rib, and more that were excellent. We've also been to the Bahia Principe in Montego Bay with the kids and found the selection and quality good there as well compared to other resorts. Bonus: You can eat anywhere in the gigantic resort complex, so see the Concierge and book your reservations. - Room: Order your favorite kind of pillows! They’ll bring them right away. Also, my wife ordered coconut aroma for the room through the app they offer. The room was very clean and big compared to most resorts. Cons: - Finding a lounge chair: Make sure that you set your alarm for around 6 AM to get out and stake your claim to your preferred sun bathing location. By 7 AM there’s almost nothing left. Buy beach chair clips to fasten your towels to the chairs. In fairness to the resort, they made the best use out of the space for lounge chairs. - Noise from hallway in hotel room: Bring ear plugs (They worked great). Seriously. The rooms and buildings are beautiful, but the tile floors in the hallway make it very loud with any traffic. Suggestion for the resort: Install carpet and noise reducing ceiling tiles, wall hangings to reduce the noise. Also, install pads or some sort of sound reducing material to muffle the sound of opening and closing of doors. This is the only reason for the lower score. I can't end on a bad note, given that this place is great and we truly had an excellent vacation thanks to all of the staff! Thank you.

Awful customer service

The management and customer service was very poor and should have been a lot better for a luxury hotel. It was not what I expected when paying so much for a 5 star hotel. My fiancée was insulted by one of your managers. She was called a poor baby in Spanish when we spoke to him in English. We asked if there were any more sun loungers at the front desk and they just shrugged their shoulders. I then spoke to guest services and they said no. I then told them we had searched for an hour and had seen people put their towels down to reserve loungers and sun umberellas and walked off and not come back. I asked why this was allowed when there were signs on the umberellas saying they could not be reserved. They just said sorry and did nothing about it. I then spoke to someone who looked official, who I believed was a manager. I explained the same thing to him and he said there's nothing he could do. It was then he insulted my fiancée in Spanish to a colleague who was with him. This was not the only negative thing we experienced. My fiancée showered before dinner. The maid had left wet towels when they cleaned the rooms. She did not realize until she wanted to get out and dry. I called the front desk and was told clean, dry towels would be delivered right away. Ten minutes later they had not arrived. I went to the front desk and was told they were on the way. Ten minutes later still no towels. I called a further four times over the next twenty minutes and no towels. My fiancée had to get out of the shower cold and wet as it had now been 30 minutes. She called the front desk obviously unhappy and had the phone put down on her. She called back and asked to speak to a manager and was told no. She called again and was told no. While this was happening I found maid and asked for towels. The total time it took was 1 hour. Absolutely awful. When I went to see guest services I did not get even an apology.
