Nicest Place and Nicest People

This was the first time in the DR for my wife and I, so wasn't sure what to except. Well, form the time we were pickup at the airport until the time they dropped us off, everyone was so nice and helpful. The resort was so clean and everything was explained to us from the dining options to pool times from when we got there. We were pampered. I will definitely be making plans to go back.

Peaceful and Quiet

First the travel from Santo Domingo airport to the resort is an hour long. It is advised to get transfers to the resort or you might just get lost. The Resort is immaculate the grounds are well kept as well as the rooms. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The flip side is that they are always trying to sell timeshares. That's the only problem I had with this place. The resort is in the middle of nowhere so besides the little shops on the resort you will have to commute to anywhere else. I would recommend this place for a couple who appreciates peace and quiet without the whole family. This is an adults only reaort. Good price for what you are getting. Highly recommend

7 Days of Sun, Fun and Peace and Quiet!

My girlfriend (now fiancé) and I were looking for a nice relaxing trip, we wanted to just plop ourselves on a beach somewhere and not have to worry about anything. This is exactly what we found when we arrived. The resort and the facilities are in excellent shape. From the moment we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by Jesus at the front desk who gave us a temporary room to change in and keep our luggage in while we waited for our room to be ready. This little bit of extra hospitality made the day! We were able to jump right into the pool and beach and start the relaxation before our "check in" time. Our Butler Francisco was awesome, made sure we had everything we needed and booked us reservations at each of the restaurants available to us for the remainder of our stay. The rooms were very well kept and in beautiful condition. We did however have only one complaint, the bed. The mattresses here are extremely firm, almost to the point of being unbearable. (Get some new mattresses and we'll never book a vacation anywhere else ever again!) The bars, the buffets, the restaurants were all excellent Shout out to Ramon in the lobby bar for hooking us up and always remembering our drink preferences. Different themes every night kept the main buffet a pleasant surprise. Our favorite night was Saturday when they had a Dominican Theme. This was the best night, we actually cancelled our restaurant reservations due to the fact that the food they put out was amazing! I get it, it's a resort and they're trying to keep people happy from all around the globe, but they could've served this menu every night and we would've been completely content! Seafood was fresh and delicious! Loved the different paella's every da, all in all this was a major highlight for us. It seemed bizarre to us that everyone seemed to crowd around the pool during the day, the pool was beautiful, with a nice swim up bar and different party themes every day, but when I'm traveling to the Caribbean, I'm going for the beaches, not the pool. The beach was well kept and very relaxing. The water is cloudier on some days than others due to it being a man made bay, but they're doing an excellent job at cleaning it daily and keeping the beach in top shape. We had our own little spot every day and felt like we were on the island by ourselves for the most part. Something we found out by ourselves, not really sure what the deal is, but if you're sitting on the beach looking out at the water you'll notice that if you look to the left, down the coast line there is a beach club. You can walk down to it and there's a really nice infinity pool as well as more cabanas and chairs you can lay out on. If you're looking for an even more remote spot to camp out and enjoy the sun, take the walk down the beach. It looks like they're building condos there and eventually you may not be able to access that beach club, however we walked down and hung out there for a couple days with no issues at all. If you're looking for party central, this might not be the resort for you. There are options with dancing, daily shows, etc. However this is the perfect resort if you're looking to just go spend some time on the beach and relax. We had a wonderful time and created a lot of lasting memories here. Looking forward to returning again!

This is a couples resort

I went with a group of friends to a bachelorette party. We all thought this would be fun experience for all the girls but it ended up being a Couples Resort where you could not go out of your room after 11 the pool closes by 6 the bars close down by 11 it was definitely not a fun place for a bachelorette party I am super disappointed with cheap carribeans for booking a bachelorette party to a couple's quiet relaxation Resort On the other hand if that is what you are looking for is a quiet relaxation Resort for you and your loved one this is a fantastic resort the service and food was excellent
