Beautiful Beach!

We had a short stay at Lighthouse Pointe but had a very nice time. The beach was beautiful and the water very inviting. It was chilly due to a cold front so we just wet our feet. The pool was cold too and no one was swimming. The infinity pool was perfectly placed and I would like to return in warmer weather to experience both. The food was ok but if we stayed longer we would have gotten bored with it. We ate at the Churchhill's restaurant for an upcharge and it was well worth it. Classy, elegant, and delicious! The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. We both slept well the 3 nights that we were there. I would recommend this resort and will return.

Beautiful Beach! Beautiful Beach!

Did not disappoint!t

Room and beach were the high points of our visit. There was a beautiful deck with view and a nice comfortable bed. Service was mostly excellent. There were exceptions but even those few were polite but had a bit more flat affect. Seeing the hurricane damage in the region is sobering. The storm situation left a large resort next door empty and as a result limited food choices. Go with the attitude that there will be more beach area for you and don't expect miracles to the repair process and you will love your trip!

Hmmm not what i was expecting :(

80% of Resort is closed due to past Damages from tropical Storm. So its very slow and almost nobody there but here are my takes from my travel experience: BAD - Casino is closed - Almost Zero Selection of food - Horrible food period - Slow Service - No Night Life/Events - Hot Tub has cold water -Zero Selection on Alcohol Good - Rooms very clean and comfortable - Beach & Pool are amazing - Some Staff are very friendly some just don't care - Close distance to Market - Safe to walk and dine/Shop - Starbucks coffee service Overall its nice place if you want to get away to sleep and be at beach all day. If you care about night life, food etc its not the place for you. Would I go back under this conditions yes but for a lot lower rate.

What's to Love

Golf - of course - it's unlimited and comes with the AI package.

A heated lap pool for an early-morning swim - it won't feel like exercise and it'll be so refreshing.

When you're ready for a little zen, take a break at the yoga center.

Weekly theme nights - Beach BBQ, Fish Fry and a Bahamian Buffet filled with local favorites.

The tennis center offers a variety of classes and drills you can take, plus you can play on four different surfaces, including grass - Wimbledon, anyone?

What We'd Change

You will have to sign "tickets" back to your room, but it's still all included and you won't be charged - it's just to keep everything on track for the resort staff!

Why You Should Go

A short 20 minutes from the airport and on one of the prettiest beaches in the Bahamas.

Port Lucayan Marina and Marketplace are across the street - tons of shops, restaurants and bars.

Agave Lucaya - the popular local favorite Tex-Mex restaurant is located at the Marketplace and serves up $2 margaritas every Tuesday.

Explore outside of the resort - tons of history, gorgeous architecture, quaint venues, colorful sea life. (Hey - you can rent a bike, too, and set off on your own.)
