81 guestrooms and suites in 13 two-story villas arrayed above the beach, in two two-story villas on a limestone cliff above the sea, and on three floors above the lobby in the main building. All buildings are white with rustic tile roofs. (None contain an elevator.) Lawns and shade trees front beachfront villas. Guests of cliffside villas walk about 100m (109 yds) to the beach. Main-building guests reach the beach via a stone path. All rooms and suites feature balconies or ground-floor patios with Caribbean Sea views.

Rooms and suites vary in size, furnishings, and decor. Cream walls, tropical-color fabrics, terra-cotta tile floors, fresh flowers, and mahogany, rattan, and bamboo furniture create an informal Caribbean ambience. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, direct dial telephone, satellite TV with VCR, in-room safe, bathrobe and slippers, and hair dryer and L'Occitane bath products.

Quiet, relaxing and romantic! This property is perfect for couples and honeymooners. Be sure to try the Elyeese Spa, amazing. Beach is pristine- did I mention the food at this resort was world class.

Not much! Taxi's can be expensive on the island so you may want to rent a car.

This is a perfect Caribbean destination, you have both the Dutch and French side of the island, great shopping and dining and you are only a quick ferry ride from Anguilla and St Barths. St. Martin - Fanatically French and delightfully Dutch, it's like 2 islands in one.

La Samanna is ideally situated on 55 acres of pristine beachfront property, just ten minutes from Marigot, the capital of St. Martin in the French West Indies, and seven minutes from Juliana Airport. The resort's crescent-shaped beach is renowned as one of the finest and most secluded in the world.

Popular with couples, the resort combines Gallic charm and relaxed Caribbean hospitality. The resort's 55 acres fall gently from a 30.5-m (100-ft) limestone cliff to sea level, with a paved path winding through tropical gardens. Complimentary shuttle service is available throughout. The resort's staff speaks English, and U.S. currency is accepted. A complimentary breakfast buffet is served every morning in The Restaurant with spectacular views of the beach and the ocean. A perfect way to start a day.

Furnished with cushioned lounge chairs and umbrellas, the resort's 1.5-km (1-mi) beach fringes Long Bay and provides beachcombing opportunities (part of the beach erodes in summer but fills in during autumn). A pool with a three-tier waterfall overlooks the Caribbean Sea from a hillside above the beach.

La Samanna's 20-plus acres of formal and tropical gardens are another facet of the luxurious surroundings. Walking the path along the beach front villas, visitors will be delighted as they discover a new water garden complete with a waterfall and stream that meanders over 100 feet through the sloping lawn.

DINING / BARS:

THE RESTAURANT - Offering dramatic, open-air dining with panoramic beach and oceanviews. World-class cuisine combines fresh, lively island flavors with classical French techniques. The wine cellar boasts one of the most extensive collections in the world. Children under 5 are not premitted at dinner.
THE GRILL - This pool grill is located on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool and white sand beaches of Baie Longue, serving lunch from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
BAR DE CHAMPAGNE - Located in the main building adjacent to the pool, it is open daily from 10:00 AM until 12:00 midnight.
BEACH BAR - Located on the beach, this al-fresco lunch bar allows guests to keep their feet in the sand while enjoying snacks, salads and cocktails as well as providing beach beverage/lunch service to the beach chaises. The Beach Bar also features a Lobster Beach Barbeque for lunch three days a week with an advance reservation of at least 24 hours, and a special Lobster Beach Barbeque on Monday nights.
WINE CELLAR - Available by reservation request for private dinner for up to 10 guests with your personal waiter, and Sommelier. We can also arrange for wine tastings with light hors d'oeurves.

In-Room Dining - Available 24 hours a day. A children's menu is available from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm daily.
