La Samanna is home to a unique, crescent-shaped stretch of beach a mile long and bordering Long Bay. Stroll along powdery white sand as you scout for shells. Autumn and winter are the best times to experience this beach, because some of it erodes in the summer. However, no matter what time of year you visit, you can always enjoy the resort's impressive pool. Featuring a three-tier waterfall and an infinity pool, it overlooks the beautiful ocean and beach. Adjacent to the pool is the Bar de Champagne, where you can enjoy a fruity beverage while you hang out poolside.

One of the many perks of staying in the French West Indies is the chance to enjoy French fusion food. Le Reserve is just the place to sample the goods in an open-air setting. And if you're craving Caribbean seafood, the Beach Bar has a lobster beach barbecue lunch three times a week, as well as a lobster dinner on Monday nights. The Beach Bar also serves lunch, snacks and cocktails throughout the day for a little al fresco dining.

During your stay at La Samanna in St. Martin, stay fit with three tennis courts and a Fitness Pavilion, or participate in Pilates and yoga classes. After some exercise, prolong that post-workout glow with a body polish at the spa.

La Samanna is ideally situated on 55 acres of pristine beachfront property, just 10 minutes from Marigot, the capital of St. Martin in the French West Indies and seven minutes from Juliana Airport.

RESORT UPDATE, MAY 2011: For the month of August, La Samanna will be making improvements to the ground floor of the main building that houses the lobby, bar, Grill Terrace and Le Reserve Restaurants and as a result, the main building will be closed. During this time the food and beverage service will be limited to the Beach Bar Restaurant and reservations will only include continental breakfast. The Beach Bar Restaurant will be open for breakfast (continental breakfast only), lunch and dinner. Regular beach and room service will be available as usual.

Perfect for cocktails before or after dinner, this lobby bar features an eclectic mix of Moroccan furniture, modern art and African decorative object d'art accented by a multi-hued Indian wedding tent as exotic ceiling art. Daily 9:30am-midnight, or the last guest leaves.
