Really Rundown Hotel with awful food

The best thing about the hotel was the beach. The sand area was clean and a lot of great walking. The wooden chairs down on the sand by the beach do not have any cushions and are tough to sit on for an entire day. Pools were nice, but you had to stand in line by 645am to "claim" a chair. People would claim chairs and then not sit in the chairs until many hours later. The hotel room was dirty, rundown, and the manager at the restaurant was not accommodating at all. We asked for a cheese quesadilla from the grill and the manager would not let the woman melt the cheese onto the corn tortilla. Most of the food was "mushy" and pretty below average. All 6 of us agreed that we would never come back to this hotel-

July at Krystal Ixtapa

The hotel was nice and clean. But we incurred the following issues: 1. The air was not working and no one spoke English much to help us 2. You do not get a wash rags unless you find a housekeeper and ask for one 3. We had 3 in our room and they would only give us 2 towels 4. No one hardly spoke English, my hair dryer did not work and we called and they said thank you and hung up and I never heard from them again 5. Some days we did not even get a bottle of water. All others we got 1 for all 3 of us to share 6. Last but not least... The food was TERRIBLE!!!! Hot soup in summer and stale cereal. Always a new meat covered in green stuff. Just nasty!

Hotel Description

Krystal Ixtapa: Revel in Powdery Sands

If you've been searching for a resort that offers beauty, pampering and plenty of all-inclusive perks then its time to set your sights on Krystal Ixtapa! Located on a gorgeous Pacific beach, with the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains as a backdrop, the all-inclusive Krystal Ixtapa Hotel is a picture-perfect destination for your next beach vacation. The hotel is right in the heart of the Ixtapa resort area, and about 160 miles northwest of Acapulco.

As a pre-planned modern resort community, Ixtapa offers you a modern infrastructure with high-rise hotels and reliable transportation, as well as water sports, golf and shopping. Nearby Zihuatanejo retains its quiet charm as a Mexican beach village, providing visitors a glimpse into a slower-paced lifestyle.

The kid in you will love the waterslide at the hotel's 130-ft free-form swimming pool. This 12-ft slide is built into a man-made rock formation with a waterfall spilling into the pool. If you have younger children, don't worry, the figure-eight pool has plenty of space for them to splash around in.

Be sure to reserve one night for Bogart's, the premier restaurant at the Krystal hotel in Ixtapa. Be sure to order the French onion soup. After dinner, get your groove on to the best Caribbean hits at Christine Club.

Two very different championship golf courses are each within a half-mile of the Krystal Ixtapa. Campo de Golf Ixtapa, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., offers varying terrain, crocodile-infested lagoons, jungle and beaches. Golf Digest ranks Marina Ixtapa Golf Club, designed by Robert von Hagge, as one of Mexico's best. Don't be surprised by pleasure craft navigating the saltwater inlets surrounding 13 of the holes.

This hotel is All-inclusive.
Features include:

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
  • Domestic and international drinks of the Krystal All Inclusive Program during bar's operational hours.
