Garrison Historic Area, Aquatic Gap St. Michael, Barbados

Hotel Description
Island Inn Hotel, constructed in 1804, is part of the historic Garrison Area of Barbados and was originally a Rum storage facility for the British Regiment. The Garrison, its history and surrounding buildings, make up one of the finest examples of a military Garrison in the Western Hemisphere.
Today the property is possibly the smallest all-inclusive hotel in the world, renowned for its excellent local meals. The hotel is built around a courtyard which is ideal for cocktail parties and wedding receptions.
Situated footsteps away from a beautiful white sand beach, the hotel is less than a mile from the historic capital city, Bridgetown, and within the Garrison area - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is conveniently close to shops and restaurants. It is also a short stroll away from banks, shops, nightlife, the Barbados Museum, and the Garrison Savannah, which is still used for parades and is the center for horse racing in Barbados and features a jogging track.
The pool is located to the rear of the property and set against a cascading fountain that lights up at night, magically transforming the area. There is an air conditioned, glass enclosed lounge located in the main courtyard, available 24 hours, and the perfect place to catch a game of soccer on television or enjoy a quiet game of chess.
