No problem

The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach was a wonderful place to enjoy a few days in Jamaica. The people, grounds, food, rooms and atmosphere were fantastic. We were taken care of immediately and the welcoming smiles set a wonderful tone for our stay. You are treated like an old friend and any requests were met with "No problem." If there was a negative it would be the absence of music in some of the common areas and restaurants. After asking about the music to our waiters it was promptly turned on. We had a fantastic time and would defiantly enjoy going back.

Very Nice Vacation

My family and I just stayed at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach resort and had a wonderful time. The food was nice, the staff was friendly and it was just overall a great vacation. There were a few things I would change, but nothing that was enough to ruin or vacation. The staff was extremely friendly and might have been the best aspect of the trip. Whether it was the bartenders, restaurant staff or entertainment crew, they were all great. We had our six-year-old daughter with us, who is a picky eater. Even in the buffet, the staff would make something up special for her just to keep her happy. My daughter loved the star friends and there are not enough nice things for me to say about them. The food was great. We ate mostly at the buffet, but one night we did the Japanese restaurant and another night we did the steakhouse. We never made it to the cajun restaurant. I found the chicken, steak, and pork to be consistently delicious. Seafood was a bit of a mixed bag. In talking to one of the staff, I believe all of the meat is domestic and much of the seafood is imported, so that may explain it. Still, we were never left hungry. There were a few negatives. I wish there had been a snack bar near the pool. It would have been nice for to not have to drag the kids into a restaurant and just grab a hot dog or burger by the pool. Speaking of the pool, waiting for a drink at the pool bar was sometimes frustrating, though the actual bartenders were very friendly even if they had their obvious favorites. (I can't blame them for paying more attention to better tippers.) One other inconvenience were the outside bathrooms. You had to go down some slippery stairs to get to the restroom from the pool. One other warning, though this was not an issue for us, make sure you bring enough sunscreen. The amount they charge for sunscreen in the gift shop is borderline unethical. One other negative, though not with Iberostar was with the transportation. We got stuck waiting at the airport for an hour after clearing customs. It was raining pretty hard and they were having trouble getting our bus ready. That said, it seemed others were managing. I will probably consider alternate transportation arrangements if we go back to Montego Bay. Even with the few negatives, it was a great vacation. My daughter was in tears when we had to leave. Special thanks to Cupcake, Pinky, Bella and the other star friends for giving my daughter the time of her life. I even forgive them for teaching her how to twerk.

Nice time

We spent 4 nights at the end of April 2017 and had a great time! Pros: -Kishanne in the concierge services was absolutely amazing and so nice! She would speak to us every time she would see us in the lobby and would take care of any issues we had in making dinner reservations. -Shane over at the dive shop took us out on a catamaran and he was amazing and so nice!! -The swim up bar at the pool and the appearance of the endless pool were both outstanding! -Usually didn't have a problem finding a chair in the shade. -The beach was beautiful!! -All of the staff were so nice! Customer service was above and beyond! -I recommend the Luminous Lagoon excursion. It was spectacular! Cons: -Buffet lunch/dinner was somewhat repetitive, but still had new options every day. -They advertise that non-motorized water options are free, but they are fees sometimes. If you know how to operate a catamaran, then it is free other than insurance if you want it. If you don't know how to operate one, then they can either teach you for a fee or you pay for a captain to take you out. -I felt like the hotel didn't advertise and let you know about other services that are available at the resort like the casino, spa, and other bars.
