The resort is an hour and a half from town. The front desk personnel does not give me clear direction in where the locations and restaurants were located. They only hand me a packet for me to read and find my own way through the resort. The bathroom when showering there was water everywhere because no courting was on. As walking through the hall ways some personnel was not greeting people as good morning or good afternoon. They will just walk and see people around. Housekeeping was well maintain and shows and outdoor activities were fine.

Good for the Right Price

Pros : We got a really good price for this resort so I was nervous about the quality of the place. The resort itself is very nice. It is on the smaller side, which was nice. The room was great and always very cool. The pool was great and we enjoyed the rock show they had one night. Overall the resort itself was good. Cons: They misplaced my bag when I first got there. It seemed like a simple mix up and we got it back pretty quickly. I wasn't too upset about it. However, when we went to book dinners they said they were all booked up for the first two days. I told them that since they lost my bag they needed to get us reservations, which they did. When we went to those "completely booked" dinners, the restaurant was about half full at best. I got the impression that this is a game they play, telling you that you can't make reservations even though the restaurants aren't full. The food was very average. It wasn't necessarily bad food, just none of it was particularly good. The alcohol is all watered down. You have to ask for better alcohol when ordering a drink and even then you can barely taste it. Even with tipping, its very difficult to get a good drink. For the price this resort is good. If we were looking for a cheap place to get away I would go back. However, set low expectations for food and drink.

Great Escape to Paradise

Overall everything about this resort was awesome. Staff was so nice and helpful. For dining options you have a buffet. I would recommend you reserve restaurants right when you get there. You would get a different variety of foods to try. Scenery was breath-taking. It was beautiful to wake up in the morning and look at the beach and mountains so peaceful. The only thing that I didn't like about the ocean was the big waves. It was rough to swim. I was worried a little bit especially if you have small children and they love the water. I went in July I thought the ocean was more calm to swim. They had a good entertainment I enjoyed their shows every night . Overall I would definitely come back. I enjoyed my family vacation in Playa Mita.

This is not a 5-Star Resort!

I stayed at this resort with my wife's family for her dad's birthday celebration and there were a total of 15 of us with 6 rooms. There were way to many little things wrong with this resort to call it a 5-Star resort... -only 3 specialty restaurants that were far from special(French was the best while the Steakhouse was the worst) -the buffet served the same thing every day(also they need to retrain their cooks how cook meat, fish, etc...it was either over done or still raw) -kids were running around the buffet and not one worker said anything to them to not run or slow down -the room service menu is really small(no breakfast items) and 1/2 time they would get the order wrong -customer service as a whole needs a lot of work if I'm spending xxx dollars to stay at this resort -need more eating options and/ or have more places open for lunch or snack -towel cards are dumb!
