Just got back from The Iberostar Lindo in Mexico and had a great time.
beautiful resort, quite large with amazing pools and very nice beach. food good , service better. Impressive night shows for a resort.
Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone .. families ,couples ,singles.
This is a wonderful well staffed resort. The grounds and rooms were beautiful. The pool and beach areas were kept very neat and clean. The water at the beach was a little rough, but you could still swim. We always saw someone cleaning. We arrived early and our room was not ready. We were handed a drink, a wristband was placed on our wrist and we were told to go get something to eat and drink. We were told to leave our luggage and someone would watch it at all times. We were also offered a place to change, if we wanted to use the pool or beach area. When we return from our lunch and drinks we were given an upgrade to Maya because it was our 25th anniversary. With the upgrade we were able to use the spa free and eat at 2 more restaurants, plus received a suite.
The staff was very friendly, and helpful. They work very hard to make sure you have a wonderful time. My husband doesn't really like buffets, but he always found something good to eat. The dinners were wonderful. We loved the French restaurant! The nightly entertainment was wonderful. This would be a wonderful resort for a family vacation. There were lots of activities for children.
Tips: 1. You have to ask for top shelf liquor. Try some of "The Drink of the Day" at the beach. 2. Book your transportation to and from the airport before you leave home. 3. Ignore all the time- share people or tell them no credit card! Nothing is free, no matter what they tell you. The 90 minutes breakfast/talk will turn into 4 hours! 4. Make dinner reservations the first night there for the whole week or time you are there. You can always make changes, otherwise you may have to eat at a buffet for dinner.
There are many children at this resort, but we knew this was a family resort. Most of the time that wasn't a problem. There is only one restaurant children are not permitted and that was the French restaurant, which you do not have access to if you stay at LIndo, only Maya. If you want time away from your children and other you may want to pick an adult only resort.
My wife and I spent 11 days at the Paraiso Lindo. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The service was excellent, the grounds beautifully maintained and the staff was friendly and went out of their way to help you. The food was top shelf and we were able to get reservations at the specialty restaurants with no problems. The rooms were cleaned daily and very comfortable. The only thing that I didn't like was the Internet access. You could only get the Internet in the lobby for $6/ half hour. I would have enjoyed my time there much better if they had access in the room.
We had a great vacation at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is working at all times to keep the resort beautiful. The staff at the pool during the day and then at the theater at night go out of their way to talk to all vistiors and make sure your visit is enjoyable.
We will definitely be returning to the beautiful resort.
Don't let the size deter you from visiting. The size was never an issue. We stayed in building 55 and were central to everything. A little walking was good for us, since we never missed a delicious meal.
Can't wait to return.

Can we snorkel off the beach in Iberostar Paraiso Lindo Resort , Mexico0 answers
Can we snorkel off the beach in Iberostar Paraiso Lindo Resort , Mexico, or we have to take snorkel trip to see Caribbean fishes and corals? Would you recommend any other all-inclusive resorts in Mexico for the snorkeling off the beach (without taking a boat to coral reefs). We enjoyed snorkeling in Riu Hotel in Ocho Rios last year and looking for the similar vacation, but in Mexico.
Thanks,
Marina

Room Information
446 air-conditioned rooms are spacious and designed with a particular view to detail and with a contemporary Mexican design. Each room is equipped with one king or two double beds, private terrace or balcony, mini bar, cable TV, in-room safe, and coffee maker.
Drifting along with a gentle current on the lazy river at Iberostar Lindo Resort, plopped happily on an inner tube, complete with both sunny and shady spots, is hard to beat.
What We'd Change
The wave pool doesn't run continuously, so if you want to guarantee yourself a spot, get there in the morning. The truth is, when something is this awesome, it draws a crowd.
Why You Should Go
The lazy river and the wave pool (the only one on the Mayan Riviera) are definitely worth the trip. For those with a thirst for adventure, there's world-class diving and easy access to Mayan ruins.

Hotel Description
Iberostar Paraiso Lindo: The Past and Present Combine
Step back into the past enjanced with modern luxury, at Iberostar Paraiso Lindo Resort. Built in the traditional style of a Mexican village, with thatched-roof villas, cobblestone paths and garden courtyards. Upon arrival to the five-star Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, an all inclusive resort resting on a nearly mile-long beach of the Mayan Riviera, you'll realize you're just where you need to be. You even get to use old world transportation: a train takes you where you need to go on the grounds.
This mermaid's paradise sports five pools throughout the complex, all interconnected by the gently meandering curves and currents of a Lazy River. Guests can grab an inner tube and set a sleepy course downriver, passing through patches of shade. The more-active paddlers find satisfaction in the Mayan Riviera's only wave pool, or on the beach of Playa Paraiso, right in front of the resort. No need to concern yourself about expending energy, as Iberostar Paraiso Lindo and the all inclusive packages includes the poolside Grill and Snack Bar for quick bites throughout the day.
For the history buff, opt for an excursion to the nearby ruins of Tulum or Coba, where old-world junkies get a thrill seeing the remnants of the legendary Mayan civilization, including waterways, pyramids, and temples. Spelunkers find a special treat in cenote diving in freshwater sinkholes that weave their way through underground caves.
Those more partial to open grassy areas and clean lines find Playa Paraiso Golf Course tickles their fancy just fine. Courtesy of legendary designer P. B. Dye, this 18-hole, world-class course challenges golfers with varying elevations and patches of jungle. And the on-course beverage service keeps you going as long as your swing holds out.
Cap your day with a visit to Iberostar Lindo's 32,000-sq-ft spa, before you dress up and indulge those taste buds with Jambalaya's Cajun flare or experience the international assortment of Italian delicacies at La Laguna. There's no shame in turning in early; you've got a lot of relaxing to do tomorrow.
