Very good with very few negatives

Here's my review.....I stayed in room 5276 and the 52 and 53 buildings are in great locations near the beach and pool. Room - Here is where I had a few negative feelings. Room could definitely use upgrading. Very few outlets and we had one that was totally not working. I had to call for them to come and at first they said they fixed the few issues we had but obviously no one did. Our concierge took care of it immediately after I called and was upset....bathroom is fine and our room had a nice large walk in shower. definitely good storage space and shelving. Food - the buffet was fine. The buffet by the pool for breakfast and lunch is not as extensive as the large one by the reception area. But it was fine and we never had to wait long for anything. Our experiences at all the restaurants for dinner were excellent. We went to all of them except the Italian Restaurant. The food at the Mexican restaurant was the only one that was just fair. French, Cajun, Steakhouse and Hibochi were all great.....service everywhere was attentive and friendly. Pool Pool was fine- very pretty just a little cold but they had loads of activities if that is what you were looking for. They only give you one thin towel so I would probably bring my own as well. The lazy river was pathetic...it hardly moved and had one place where it had a waterfall that you might possibly get wet....actually the water was freezing. Beach - the water was great and clean. Some areas do have rocks and several days the water was somewhat rough. Plenty of huts and beach chairs for all. my only complaint were the seagulls going in for the food. Its great that they have a food bar on the beach but thats what happens with food. They did have servers all over bringing drinks....people were trying to sell hats, bags, silver jewelry but no one really bothered you. Hope this info helped. Everyone at the resort really was nice and friendly. Bartenders were fun and we had a great time.

vacation

Very nice resort, many swimming pools, many bars and restaurants, nice rooms, very friendly staff. There is about 3 or 4 resorts in one place and you can use all of them. It was January and the only issue was the water temperature in the swimming pools, water was very cold making impossible to use the swimming pool. Ocean water was hot, even very hot,so we spent every day at the beach. But you have to be very early to get your beach chair lounger, they dont have enough for all people. First day we didnt get any chair lounger, thats the issue #2

Terrible food, save your money

This was our first time at an Ibersotar and had high hopes. If you intend to eat food on your vacation, do not stay here. The food is simply inedible. We lived off of beach burgers the entire week and the gal traveling with us got very sick from the buffet food the final day. Room service, though prompt, was despicable. Trust me. If food means anything to you and your family, you will NOT be pleased. The pools are lovely but very crowded, you will be fighting with other travelers for a chair. Same at the beach. Beach is lovely but water is very rough and there are rocky sections... not what is expected for the Mexican Riviera. Staff was courteous and kind. Check in process and breeze and the concierge was very helpful. The rooms are nice and large... but the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything and everyone above you, below you, and in between. Not at all the restful relaxing vacation that you may have in mind. If you intend to sleep past 7am, you are in for a rude awakening... daily. Obliviously great for families... kids everywhere. Guests treating each other and staff with a fair amount of entitlement and disrespect... not a great crowd or sector of the public to surround yourself with. Overall...pretty depressing, really.

You Will Want to Come Back to This Place!

Our family of 6, parents and 21-27 year old kids had a fantastic time! This resort is beautifully maintained. Our rooms were beautiful. They were able to get our 3 rooms pretty close together. We were in awe of the property. Though 4 nights was perfect for getting our busy family together, we all plan on coming back again as soon as possible. We did not even come close to seeing and utilizing all there is to offer at this resort. The restaurants were terrific and the service was terrific time 10. You are able to make your dinner reservations very easily. Each accommodations building ( ie.. we were in building 51) has their own concierge desk and they can book anything. You can even check out with them! However, we loved the buffets and it would have been fine with my family to eat there every night, too. Though it is an all-inclusive resort that says no tipping, I asked at the front desk- since our service was at such a high level, and she did say it was okay to tip a little if we wanted to. You will want to tip these amazing employees who make you feel like a star. We also booked our airport transportation and it was well worth it. They were polite, punctual, and air conditioned! We just got back last night. It was an absolutely fabulous vacation.

What's to Love

It's an all-inclusive escape-haven in the gorgeous Riviera Maya.

The beachy shores are very wide and deep with soft white sands & bright blue water.

Chillaxing at the five sunshiny pools with a lazy river and wave pool.

You can access facilities at Paraiso Del Mar and Paraiso Beach, located on the same property.

What We'd Change

The wave pool doesn't run continuously, so if you want to guarantee yourself a spot, get there in the morning. The truth is, when something is this awesome, it draws a crowd.

Why You Should Go

It's a zippy 30 minutes from the airport. Cocktails with beach views are calling your name.

A small train runs all over the resort, taking you to restaurants, lobby, rooms, spa and more.

Don't miss the endless activities - water sports, tennis, golf, beach volleyball & more. Game on.

Clubs for kids and teens keep the kiddos entertained. You can book much-needed spa time.
