Excellent resort. Excellent value

This is our third trip of 7 days to Iberostar Pariso Lindo in last 4 years. We love going because of the beach, pool, plentiful food, warm temperatures, and value. We have never been to another all inclusive resort as we enjoy this resort so much we don't want to risk changing. I have brought my brother and son with us and they have had a wonderful time to. The resort is large, but to us this is a plus, as there is a large pool, large beach section, many restaurant options, shopping center, and church on site. There is almost always 2-3 weddings the week we are there. The beach was wonderful this year, with warm water and large waves due to a hurricane way out to sea. The pool is spacious and shallow (4 feet) allowing two non swimmers in our party to enjoy it immensely. We had no issues getting chairs at the beach or pool, but we went during the off season. Plenty of bars for drinks and places to get food throughout the day at the pool and beach. Food was very good. Went to the main buffet mostly for breakfast and lunch for the greater variety of food. Buffet was large and food was good. Went to a different theme restaurant every night; Japanese, Mexican, Brazilian, French, Mediterranean, Steak house, Italian, and all were very good. Rooms were clean and spacious and cleaned every day. Maids are very nice and accommodating. Room bar and I believe room service included in price. Resort is very clean with a variety of small animals and birds on property. Always see people cleaning and improving the property. Staff, the Star Friends, are always there to answer questions and initiate activities. All staff friendly and accommodating. Will be back because the vacation is so enjoyable.

Just ok

I will start with we were very excited to try iberostar Lindo since the first time we went to mexico we stayed at Iberostar Paraiso Beach and we couldn't go in to the Lindo. So I booked the Lindo 2 years after the trip to pariaso. I will start with all the Pros.... The resort itself is beautiful. The grounds amazing, Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean. Our maid Rosa was awesome. It was my birthday week and everyone at the resort went out of their way for me. Bottles of Champagne, Towel cakes, cookies. It was all very nice of them. Specialty restaurants were really good. The paella on the beach was amazing! The activites on the beach were entertaining enough some days. Now for the cons.... I found it was fairly quiet no music playing on the beach it never felt like an island vacation without the fun music... There was one swim up pool bar where the bartender made the drinks way too strong.. And thought it was funny. There really wasnt one good drink to be had there, The night life is pretty boring there, They say there is a casino and there is except it is not legal to be open so that is always locked. The shows were not really the best either.. Kudos to the cast and crew they do try but they really put us to sleep at night when we went to the shows. I was really upset with the amount of people selling you stuff on the beach.. They were relentless and it got very annoying... Some outside of iberostar and some that worked at the resort selling massages and excursions. Also at the iberostar they now sell time share which also got annoying after a while. They were always after us for one thing or another. With that said I will not be returning to mexico anytime in the near future if again. It just wasn't the best place I've ever been. Or the worst.

Best Value in the Riviera Maya!

This is the second time I have been to this resort, the first time being back in 2010 when I was in college. I loved it when I was 21 and I loved it even more when I was able to travel there recently with my husband. You cannot beat the value here. (There was a promotion running at the time, but Cheap Caribbean does this almost weekly.) The service is absolutely excellent! Bless ever. last. one. of those precious people who made our trip amazing. There are an endless amount of pools/beach areas to lounge at, so you can never get bored with the scenery. I will note that there are 5 resorts on the Playa Paraiso complex and they are in order of price/quality. They all share a common mall area with a nightclub. The nightclub is StarWars themed, which is absolutely hilarious! Depending on which level of resort you stay at, you are free to use the facilities of any resort that has lower amenities. The Paraiso Lindo is the middle resort, so you can use the amenities at the two Iberostar resorts to the North of the Lindo, which have a little less costly amenities, however it is a change of scenery and the Del Mar pool area is beautiful. The buffets are great--they really cater to a variety of tastes, because the Iberostar resort chain attracts people from all over the world, particularly Europe and Central/South America. The Pariaso Lindo does not limit the amount of restaurant reservations you can make (other resorts do this), so you can eat at one of their specialty restaurants every night of your trip if you desire. We particularly recommend the French Gourmet, the Italian, and the Cajun. (They will pronounce this Ca-houn...we didn't figure out it was actually Cajun until we were in the building. We had a good laugh about that.) There are a ton of coati (they are the native racoon monkey looking animals) that roam the facility and beach area. The locals see them as a nuisance, much how we would view squirrels, possums, rats, etc. but they are just too cute not to love!

Great experience!

I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation at Iberostar Paraiso Lindo Resort! The pool with the swim up bar was always the perfect temperature and Javier and Hugo were such fun bartenders! The lazy river was unfortunately a little too lazy for my liking though and we only went around it one time. The beach was absolute perfection!! The water was so beautiful and there were always chairs available to lay out on. Having the snacks and another bar right by the beach was so great as well! The henna tattoo guy did an awesome job too and was so nice. As far as the food, the steakhouse and the Japanese Steakhouse were incredible! Awesome meals at both places. The Mexican restaurant on-site was very bland but the staff there was a lot of fun! If you want authentic, yummy Mexican food while you're there, get a taxi and head down to 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen - you won't be disappointed and you can get a lot of shopping in while you're down in that area! All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and I would recommend this resort to anyone who's looking for an affordable, all-inclusive vacation in the Riveria Maya/Playa del Carmen area!

Great experience!

What's to Love

Plop into an innertube and drift along with a gentle current on the lazy river at Iberostar Lindo Resort. It's hard to beat.

What We'd Change

The wave pool doesn't run continuously, so if you want to guarantee yourself a spot, get there in the morning. The truth is, when something is this awesome, it draws a crowd.

Why You Should Go

If you can drag yourself from the lazy river and the wave pool (the only one on the Mayan Riviera), then head into the ocean for some world-class diving and easy access to Mayan ruins.

Hotel Description

Iberostar Paraiso Lindo: Where the Past and Present Combine

Take a trip into a refreshing paradise that is rich in history and enhanced by the posh appointments of modern luxury. Tastefully decorated and structured like a traditional Mexican village, Iberostar Paraiso Lindo Resort is landscaped with cobblestone paths and beautiful garden courtyards. Upon arrival to this all-inclusive resort, you'll immediately appreciate its soft, white-sand beaches that stretch nearly a mile-long across the Riviera Maya. With one splash of the region's crystalline blue waters, you will know you have found your home away from home.

Spend your day checking out resort's five sparkling pools located throughout the complex. Don't want to feel like a fish out of water just to explore the grounds? No problem! All five pools are interconnected by the gentle meandering curves and currents of a Lazy River. Guests can grab an inner tube and set a sleepy course downriver, passing through patches of shade. The more-active paddlers find satisfaction in the Mayan Riviera's only wave pool, or splashing in the waters of Playa Paraiso Beach, which is located right in front of the resort. Worried about the munchies? Never fear! As all-inclusive guests of Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, you can enjoy all of the poolside snacks you can eat at the Grill and Snack Bar.

Listen up history buffs! If you want to take an exciting adventure back in time, you can opt for an excursion to the nearby ruins of Tulum or Coba. Old-world junkies will get a thrill out of seeing the remnants of the legendary Mayan civilization, which includes waterways, pyramids, and temples. Spelunkers can also find a special treat in cenote diving in the freshwater sinkholes that weave their way throughout these underground caves.

If your ideal vacation includes stretching your legs on open grassy fields, then check out the Playa Paraiso Golf Course to satisfy your inner golfer. Designed by legendary designer P. B. Dye, this 18-hole, world-class course challenges golfers with varying elevations and patches of jungle. Whether or not you can stay under par, the on-course beverage service keeps you going as long as your swing holds out.

Finally, cap your day off with a visit to Iberostar Lindo's 32,000-sq-ft spa before indulging your taste buds with Jambalaya's Cajun flare or an assortment of Italian delicacies at La Laguna. After a day filled with exciting activities, there's no shame in turning in early. After all, you always have tomorrow to enjoy the thrills and perks at Iberostar Paraiso Lindo!
