Great vacation

This place was great. The food, the atmosphere, the people. We were very pleased. I don't understand why people would give food bad reviews, must be very spoiled. There is walking, but we found the onsite taxi areas and rides were no problem. There were even free stores in the shopping area that included coffee bar and icecream shop. Drinks were awesome and drink menus available in areas. We were very pleased

Beautiful Grounds Terrible Food

I stayed at the Iberostar Beach Aug 4-11. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The landscape, the animals, the bright painted buildings were all great. The golf cart service to and from areas on the grounds was nice. Our room was a good size. Would be nice to have a shower curtain when traveling with family and only one bathroom. The room had a couch they made into a bed which was nice if you didn't want to share a bed. The room was always clean and frig stocked. The pool is amazing all of them. There are swim up bars at every end. All kinds of activities at the main pool. Arts and crafts - tattoos. The beach was nice. The seaweed was cleaned up as well as it could have been. But it was beautiful and we swam in it. There could have been more wait service around the beach area and pool. If you want a drink you have to go get it. Now for the food - not good. The buffet is terrible. The selection is the same every single time. There is no meat station, fish or pork for that matter. Chicken, bread, cheese BEANS. We did eat at the Japanese restaurant which was wonderful. The "steak house" is the buffet during the day and at night the "steak house" not AC. It is warm. The Mediterranean restaurant was the best, AC, great food, great service. I'm not sure I would return to this resort. Maybe stay at the ones next door Lindo or Maya they have full access to all pools and all restaurants.

Large beautifully well kept resort !

Overall my family of four enjoyed the stay at Iberostar Beach in Mexico . The resort is clean and the staff goes above and beyond for their guests. My three year old daughter loved the animals that roamed around the resort. There were peacocks, Coatis, swans , flamingos , kittens, turtles etc... There is a lot of walking but luckily our room was in the middle of the resort near the pools and beach and not to far from the lobby and buffets. They have people driving around to take you from one area of the resort to the other but you don't always find someone at the little shuttle stops . The pools were very nice and big so you never felt like you were on top of each other . We enjoyed some of the activities they had in the afternoon at the main pool. The beach was nice but a lot of seaweed and big rocks . My husband hurt his foot on one because he didn't realize they were there , they are not visible . Some of the things we did not like about the resort : buffet was not very good and I'm not a picky eater , the restaurants were good but make sure you call early to try and get a reservation . Two of the nights out of six we could not get anything and we were stuck at the buffet . Also the "beach" resort is the cheapest of the resorts that are attached . We could not use the amenities at the other iberostar resorts but guests from the "more expensive" iberostar resorts can go to ours . We didn't like that and didn't realize this when we booked the trip .

Large beautifully well kept resort !

Fabulous vacation!

We went to Iberostar in Rivera Maya the last week of July. It was beautiful every single day. Our room was in Building 20 which was by the restaurants and the theater. It was not a long walk to the pool. The staff that worked there were very nice. We chose not to do excursions because we enjoyed the pools and the beach. It was well worth the $$ we spent. Everything went perfect. We feel we were very lucky to have found this resort!!

Hotel Description

Iberostar Paraiso Beach: Hop Aboard for All-Inclusive Fun

Feeling humdrum and ready to jump the tracks? At Iberostar Paraiso Beach, you can follow your tracks to fun. Fashioned in a traditional, Mexican-colonial style, with broad arches and etched columns, this all inclusive resort is set on nearly 1,200 ft. of white beaches on the Mayan Riviera. Iberostar Paraiso Beach is committed to your relaxation; you won't even have to walk to your room. A train arrives at the lobby, bedecked with large seashells and etched wood carvings, every 15 minutes to escort guests around this meticulously maintained, tropical paradise.

This train takes you directly to the front steps of Iberostar Paraiso Beach to visit the 2,800-sq. ft. Playa Paraiso Sensations Spa. With a hydrotherapy circuit, different types of baths, a rain shower, a saltwater pool, temazcal-steam baths and a Finnish sauna, this spa offers therapies capable of chasing away stress.

After you've been kneaded into relaxation, hop aboard the train for an afternoon poolside at the resort's enormous pool. Surrounded by palm trees and huts, is one of the largest in the Riviera Maya. No need to wander around for a drink. Just dog paddle your way to the swim-up bar and indulge in a rum punch, while floating under the shady palms.

Golfers love the fact that Iberostar offers services throughout Playa Paraiso's P. B. Dye designed, 6,800-yd. golf course. That's right fairway-warriors, at this resort you can order on-course food and beverages while you play!

If you want more water-based fun, explore the great coastal reef with scuba- or snorkel-gear. Take part in aqua-aerobics, or take to the tides on a catamaran. And when you're tired and hungry, try one of the yummy restaurants at Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar or another sister hotel. Tantalize your cravings at El Puerto, or take those taste buds south of the border to La Hacienda. With all inclusive access to selected restaurants and bars within the Paraiso Resort, you'll be hard-pressed to run out of new flavors to discover.
