Great Hotel But areas need more AC
I've stayed at the Iberostar Grand twice, and it is truly a 5 Star Hotel. My only complaint would be that some of the common areas were very hot - lacking air conditioning. The rooms are perfect as are the restaurants and I would highly recommend this hotel to others.
OMG!! All I can say is that this has been the best vacation ever. The room was just wonderful. Not to mention the great view of the pools and the beach that we had from our balcony.
The shows and entertainers were also very good. Even better than some of the cruises we've been on.
The food was scrumptous, great beach and pools. The entire staff was just soooo friendly, courteous and willing to go to any extreme to help you. We just can't say enough about this resort. Definitely will go back. The Asian buffet was the best treat. Caviar with the Sushi, lobster tails & shrimp on the grill, etc., etc. I could go on and on but this Resort makes the Royal Suites, Yucatan look like a 3 star resort. This vacation was worth every penny. Also, last but not least, top shelf drinks and made to perfection..
We ate at the Italian, Japanese, French, Surf & Turf and Gourmet restaurants and they were all excellent. I'm ready to go back right now...There was only one problem....Our stay wasn't long enough.....:-(

The most amazing honeymoon!
We stayed at the grand rose hall for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! The staff is courteous and sweet! I loved doing lunchtime yoga! The restaurants were great, I especially loved the gourmet and Italian. We also loved the Mexican restaurant! We stayed here last year and again this year for our honeymoon - I wouldn't be surprised if we are back again next year for our anniversary!
The biggest negative for this resort is the food options. Dinners were fairly good, but the quality was very inconsistent from day-to-day. For breakfast and lunch you are required to eat from the buffet which was not to the same level of quality as the sit down dinners.
The service was very good and exceeded our expectations from what we were told about how casual Jamaicans can be. The pools were very nice and clean. The beach was not the nice white sand beach that Negril has, but was still nice and did not have people trying to sell you stuff while you were trying to relax.
Our room did have an ant problem, but its expected to have some bugs running around on a tropical island. We called the front desk and they sent someone right up to spray.
Overall it was one of the better resorts we saw while down in Jamaica. The food could use some improvement though.

Cheap Caribbean does not carry a room that at the Iberostar Grand with a guaranteed ocean view. We can certainly request an ocean view when booking your reservations, however the room that we offer with the package is a Standard Junior Suite. We currently do not offer any other rooms for you to upgrade to prior to your arrival at the resort.
