Once-In-A-Lifetime Dream Vacation
Iberostar Grand was a surprise vacation from my hubby for our 15th wedding anniversary. We couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate. The accommodations at Iberostar Grand were fantastic and unlike anywhere we have traveled. The food was top-notch delicious and pretty. Only complaint was the difficulty getting reservations into the empty restaurants...but we choose our last evening to forego our reservation and eat at the delicious buffet where the entire wait staff was excellent. Checkin in Rangui was quick and easy. The workers were pleasant, happy, and very accommodating to whatever you needed. Bellman Juan and Abdul were great. Happy Feet with Star Friends was a delight. The beach was clean and beautiful. The rooms were clean...the extra care taking to turn down the bed and night a draw a bubble bath was a treat! WeI would love to return some day!!! Thank you!
We had a wonderful time. The resort was five star and lived up to the rating. The employees were attentive to each question asked. We will return to the Iberostar Grand in the future. The food, pool and lounges were great. We took Yoga classes and went to the Spa, count on us for traveling withe Cheap Caribbean in the future
We stayed at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro from January 16-27. We were treated like royalty from the minute we stepped off the van at the resort until the moment we left. The food was very, very good. The people were absolutely amazing. Although tipping is not required, we left home with a big stack of $1's. Every time we received outstanding service, we were sure to show our appreciation. From the maids to the bellboys to the butlers to the front desk to the groundskeepers to the waitstaff every single person we encountered was friendly and helpful. We fell in love with the country and her people. We've already decided that this resort is going to be an annual treat for us. The only small thing we didn't care for was the amount of seaweed in the ocean, but the resort has no control over that. They were diligent in picking it up every morning and in keeping the beach clean by raking it thoroughly every couple of days. The chefs in the buffet went out of their way to make us happy - especially the pasta chef, the pastry chef and the steak chef.

Coming from the US, can we use our laptop and kindle without an adaptor? I saw electric current is 110 volt, but is it US compatible?

No adaptors needed. My husband charged his IPhone and IPad with his standard US plug and I used my straightner with no problems.

Yes you can!! The wireless is a little spotty, but the current is compatible. You may need to stand at the front desk to get a strong enough wireless signal to get to the Internet or download books to your Kindle.
