Is this the third or the fourth time you've been caught daydreaming to the beat of island rhythms? Super Vacaton
The resort was great (we plan on coming back next year). The food, drinks and people working at the Dominicana Hotel were the best. Our room was at a good location close to the pool and beach. Our checkin was fast. Only had minor problems with the room that were resolved except for the phone.
We had a great time at the Iberostar Dominicana - I think the only "complaint" I have and it really isn't a "complaint" is the language barrier - wish more of the help spoke better English - it was hard at times to get my point across but we dealt with it!

The beach and pool are perfect
I'm a beach person and this resort filled the bill perfectly. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. I love the layout-- the pool backs up to the beach, and it's great to run from one to the other.
The room was OK. The food was typical of all-inclusives; good liquor, not just crummy well brands. We won't discuss the wine.
The staff was generally nice but often so slow that, for example, you'd be 3/4 through the omelette before the coffee came.
The overall experience was very good and a raving bargain.

Room Information
346 air-conditioned rooms, light, fresh and nicely decorated in a 4-story mid-rise buildings. Situated parallel to the Iberostar Punta Cana, together with which it forms half of the twin All-Inclusive Iberostar resort complex. Located in a magnificent setting with lush, abundant tropical gardens. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, hair dryer, telephone, cable TV, mini bar, safety deposit box and balcony or terrace.
Iberostar Dominicana Hotel has just undergone a total update. It was good before but now it's better. How can you not love that?
What We'd Change
Beach chairs and palapas go fast, so post an early-morning guard or, if worse comes to worse, snuggle down into that baby-soft, angel-white sand on your beach towel.

Meanwhile, if you're an avid golfer, you can swing your irons at the spectacular, 18-hole Iberostate Bavaro Golf & Club, with its complex pattern of sharp undulations and significantly stubborn trade winds that will test your game.

Dining Reservations
A la carte restaurants require reservations which may be made from 9am-11am and from 4pm-5:30pm with public relations at the hotel. A la carte dining guarantees are based on number of nights booked as follows:
Guests staying one to three night will receive one reservation guarantee in the a la carte restaurants
Guests staying four to six night will receive two reservations guaranteed in the a la carte restaurants
Guests staying seven to nine nights will receive three reservations guaranteed in the a la carte restaurants
guests staying 10 to 13 night stays will receive four reservations guaranteed in the a la carte restaurants
