Best Diving Trip Ever

I chose Iberostar for Dressel Divers and wasn't disappointment! I went on 8 day dives and one night! Saw everything I wanted except a seahorse. I have been diving for 20 years now and I will return here on a yearly trip. Most divers on the boat had 100 plus dives. But don't let that scare you. They will teach you the basics and take you on shallow dives if you are a beginner. The Dressel divers group are so knowledgable and professional! Try to get Alec as your guide. He is awesome! They go over the dives, terrain, expectations, signals, and safety instructions on the boat. Dressel divers also know all the swim throughs and caves. The boat captains followed our bubbles on the drift dives and were never far away. Several times groups would have to surface early for low air with a bouy and were picked up immediately. The pool and food is surprisingly good for the price. The room was so so. Don't get building 48. It smelled and the hot water didn't work, but come on, how much time are you going to spend in the room anyways. The hammocks on the wooden front porch with the jungle view are fantastic. I had the small basic room and it was fine. I had to change pillows for a mildew smell and the operator had new ones at the room in 20 minutes, no problem. Take lots of bug spray and don't miss the Thursday night fire show on the beach. The nightly entertainment was surprisingly good. Overall, a good resort and great diving operation. Thank you Dressels!

Wonderful Vacation

Iberostar is a great place to stay at to relax and get away. This all inclusive is great for anyone who wants to relax at the beach or at the pool or in a hammock outside of your room. The room I had was really nice and comfortable. There are plenty of activities around the resort to get involved in. I spent most of my time there in the ocean or the pool. The available bar selection was great. The food is not bad, though if you are looking for something good, there is a beach bar and grill right next door. The entire staff speaks English, so no worries if your Spanish is rusty or nonexistent.

not a good resort for people who don't dive

The resort staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The main problems with this resort were the insects. Wearing bug spray to dinner to ward off the mosquitoes made dining unpleasant. The beach was too rocky and not crystal clear. Mildew in the rooms was pretty bad along with not being able to flush toilet paper into the sewer. . .
