Hard Rock Punta Cana
From the moment we arrived until our van took us to the airport the service was excellent. This is a five star operation. The rooms were as expected. The restaurants offered many different choices. The pools were clean and inviting. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this resort to our friends.
My husband and I just got married in March and went to Punta Cana for our Honeymoon. The Hard Rock had great reviews and it looked like a place where we could have the best of both worlds; we could lay on the beach and do nothing, and we could also go explore and do fun excursions. It was a beautiful resort-very clean, great customer service, and we got to relax and also have fun outside the resort. The main issue we had with the Hard Rock was that it wasn't really a place for Honeymooners. Of course the week we were there it was Spring Break so it was filled with teenie boppers, drunk 16 year olds, and everyone was there to party. We had a great time but I wish it would have been a little more relaxed and quiet. We felt like we could never get away from the constant crazy-ness. Even when we were in our room, you could hear people running down the hallway, screaming, being loud, ect, because there's about a 2 inch opening between the bottom of the door and the floor. We did book the "romantic dinner" one night which was amazing. You had to pay extra for that though...not included in the "all inclusive" which was frustrating but worth it. We loved the spa--we did a couples massage one morning which was one of our favorite things. It was unbelievably relaxing. In all, we thought the resort was gorgeous, the beach was awesome, and the staff/service was fabulous. We just wouldn't go there for our Honeymoon if we could do it again.
This place is amazing. The beach was so excellent! The water is the clearest and bluest water EVER! The rooms are great. The only not so great thing was the nightlife. However, I was there on a Sunday-Thursday so maybe it's better on the weekends. YOU MUST GO IF YOU WANT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. The people are nice and try to help you as much as they can, but sometimes it's hard to understand them with their accents.
It was a nice hotel but the activities were very limited. Sometimes they would say that something is going on and then nothing would happen. On Sunday there was no water all day. We couldn't go to dinner because we were covered in suntan oil from the day. The toilet wouldn't flush. When we called to find out if there was an option of a different hotel they hung up on us. When there was water it was always cold, cold showers every night. Then then kept mixing up golf cart rentals and claimed we rented a golf cart at 10 am when we left for an excursion at 8:50. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel.

You get 1500 in credits that you can use at the spa, casino, and on outdoor excursions and activities which include horse back riding, four wheel adventure, snorkeling and more. Great Deal!

We had 2 rooms and used it all! You can use it for golf ($240am or $150 after 2pm). we did pm as it was not super hot and had a nice breeze. You can use $300 max. toward spa...that's (2) 50 min. massages. Make sure to do the hydrotherapy (mud, steam, ice, fun) after the massage; its included! "Rock the Boa"t is drinking, dancing and nice boat ride. Also can use for" Moonrocker" (covered golf cart you drive thru jungle).
Weused it for snorkel tour, horseback riding. They have a tour of the island with shopping (we did not do it). Any money you have left over you can use in a special shop that has t-shirts, jewelry, local art.

You will recieve the credit when you get there...will have to talk to separate people beside the checkin. Cannot book anything till ya get there. They have booking agents for it near the buffet restaurant. It can be used toward several excursions, the spa, romantic dinners. Expect to pay tax after April 1 on the credit that is used. If you dont use the credit, there is no extra cost. Either way ya look at it, you get to do stuff for almost free. Dont get upset over the tax, if you bought the service outright, you would pay tax. I was able to use all my credit toward a romantic lobster & champagne dinner, a chef jam session (like the Iron Chef), a massage & facial, a manicure/pedicure, a beach horseback ride, the waterball experience and an ATV ride. The credit cannot be used toward the casino (new policy). They do expect some sort of tip for all these services and try to sell you pictures. We gave tips as they deserved it. They are very friendly and do a great service. Did not buy any pics.

It amounts to $300.00.
I used it in a spa , got a massage and and a facial
You can use it at the shop, there are some other options I was not interested in.
They have a description in a packet what else you can use it for.
mamadoma
You can use the credits for the spa (up to 300 per trip), some choices of excursions, golf, a Kodak photo session, a lobster dinner. The spa was the best I've been to. I scheduled 2 massages. Go at least half an hour before and they will take you thru a spa regimen before your massage. Used 700 credits for a lobster dinner, which was the biggest and only disappointment on the trip. Would recommend a Kodak photo session instead. I believe the program is listed on the Hard Rock's website. You can schedule to use the points as soon as you check in.

Hotel Description
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana: Enjoy All-Inclusive Variety
Tired of the small time? Head to the new Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana,
recently named a 2013 AAA Four Diamond hotel. As the first all inclusive Hard
Rock Hotel in the world, this resort does everything big, offering 13
restaurants and snack bars, seven bars and 15 pools! From the kids' water
slides to the Vegas-style casino, this is a monument to glitz, glamour and rock
'n' roll royalty.
Located on Macao Beach, the resort's palm tree and palapa-dotted shore sets
the stage for living out your own music video. Fifteen pools are your
playground: a lazy river and family pool with twisting water slides for the
kids, Sax pool for quiet downtime and the adult-only Eden for topless sunning.
Don't worry about getting too hungry: from filet mignon at Toro to a
hibachi-style show at Zen, there's enough to try something new for every meal!
After dinner, seven bars keep the afterparty going, especially at the cool
nightclub, Oro.
Need to burn off calories? Grab the shades, drop the kids at the Little Big
Club, and head for Body Rock, the state-of-the-art fitness center. Too
earth-bound? Reach for greater heights on the climbing wall, or just skip the
exercise altogether and crack open the piggy bank because the 45,000-sq-ft,
Vegas-style casino offers slots and table gaming. When you've had your fun,
Rock Spa gets you ready for your close-up: relax in the hydrotherapy center,
work out tension with a Shiatsu massage in any of the 35 private spa suites and
end with a bracing, pore-closing experience in the ice room.
After you've partied and been pampered like a rock star, the Hard Rock Hotel
Punta Cana helps you sleep like one, too. Even the poshest tour bus can't
compete with the stylish, spacious suites that feature a Jacuzzi for two,
24-hour room service and a flashy liquor dispenser. We recommend the Caribbean
Suite with two double beds for the family, but couples or singles won't go
wrong with the Hard Rock Concierge Level Suite's killer views and upgraded
amenities.
