Grotto Bay Beach Resort is nestled amid 21 acres of beautifully landscaped, oceanfront grounds.Lush, manicured property features 3 private beaches and some of Bermuda's most protected ocean waters. Attractions include a large freeform pool, boats and other watersports gear, and snorkeling/diving on a wreck near the beach. The resort offers 201 guestrooms in 11 three-story pastel-colored lodges. All include a ground-floor patio or upper-floor balcony with views of the Atlantic Ocean and are furnished with two chairs.

Flooded with saltwater and theatrically lighted to highlight transparent, turquoise water and limestone stalagtites and stalagmites, two large underground caves provide dramatic swimming options to the ocean and freshwater pool. Appreciating the underground caves is not just for swimmers. Enjoying their beauty is possible from wood benches terraced into the walls. A 100-yard pink-sand beach runs along the ocean, supplying sunbathing on lounge chairs and swimming in a calm bay. The large freeform pool lies just above the beach and has two sand sunning terraces. Secluded nearby in a garden, a spa tub offers soaking for eight. The resort also includes a children's playground and a video game arcade. Complimentary supervised children's programs are offered during the summer. The Bermuda Glass-Blowing Studio lies at the resort's rear near the entrance.

THE HIBISCUS ROOM - White-wood ceiling beams, slate floor, table linens serving buffet and a la carte breakfasts and lunches with a la carte dinners from a daily menu featuring seafood and prime rib.

RUM HOUSE - Casual restaurant and bar serving ribs, pizza, seafood and more with live nightly entertainment.

BAYSIDE BAR & GRILL - Open-air place serving light lunches of sandwiches and salads. Twice weekly, theme-night buffets are offered.

201 guestrooms featuring bright interiors of pastel colors and tropical woods offer oceanviews from patios/balconies. Decor features pastel-colored walls, crown molding, white-tile floors with straw-mat area rugs, and tropical-wood furniture including a two-chair dining set. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, cable TV, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, and in-room safe. Marble bathrooms include tub/shower combinations.

February 2009 update: Grotto Bay is proud to announce the completion of our major room renovation project, the last phase of our $15 Million property refurbishment. No stone has been left untouched during this renovation project. The entire property has been renovated. The room renovations included the installation of new and larger sliding glass doors enhancing the beautiful views of the azure waters, new entrance doors with electronic locks, new AC system, new granite tiling on walkways and balconies, new heavenly beds, new bathrooms and balcony furnishings just to name a few of the many improvements made.
