Great Vacation
Beautiful hotel! Although a big property, it's kept immaculate by the grounds keeper. The buffet breakfast and lunch were great. One compliant is that the Italian Restaurant could not make a simple chicken cutlet parm -- no sauce! If you can, go to the Chill Out restaurant (you have to pay) however, the meal was one of the best. Will not hesitate to go back to the Princess in Riviera Maya!!!
The resort is very large and if we wanted there was always something different to do or go to. We got there before check in and had time to look around with the map to locate places in the resort. Numerous restaurants and pools. Beach was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there for 5 nights, which was too short and would return for 7 or more nights. Only downside as with any all inclusive is that people go out early in the morning to save chairs at the beach and pools and it makes it difficult to find a spot and won't see anyone at those chairs for hours.
This was my first time going to a resort, but Princess set the bar! This was an amazing resort. The customer service was absolutely amazing and the staff was so hospitable!!!! Was blown away by the staff. They all love their jobs and it shows. I would definitely recommend and revisit!!!
We had a great time in Riviera Maya! The weather was perfect....hot and not too humid. The resort is magnificent. There is so much to offer for people of all ages. Although it was Easter week and the resort was pretty full (we were told 90% capacity), one did not get the sense of big crowds. We were always able to find chairs at the beach or pool. Chairs in the shade were harder to come by. The restaurants were not crowded. One night we did not have reservations at one of the restaurants and had no trouble getting seated. The food was better than other all-inclusives I have stayed in....in Mexico and the Caribbean. Service was good. The refrigerator in our room stopped working and it was replaced within 30 minutes. My daughter and I LOVED the ability to paint pottery. We brought home several lovely pieces for ourselves and to give as gifts.
There are a few things I feel they could improve on.....Our room was so humid despite the fact that the air conditioning was cranking the whole time. It would have been nice to have a schedule of activities each day, either as a flyer under our door, or on a tv channel. You have to do a lot of walking on this resort and the schedule board was very far from our room and the beach. We might have planned our days differently if we knew what our options were.
I definitely hope to return to this resort in the future. Next time I hope to stay in one of the swim out rooms.

All of the restaurants listed on our website for this property are included in the all inclusive package. Some of the restaurants may only be open for only dinner or only breakfast, etc. The buffet is available for all three meals and is an alternative for dinner if, for instance, you are not able to make reservations at a particular restaurant for dinner. Gratuities are included as part of your package and not expected by the wait staff. if you feel like you have received exemplary service I am sure a small discreet tip would be appreciated.

buffet and ala carte restaurants both but 2 of those 9 require extra fee. Gratuities usually not seen but we did. (also gratuity to housekeeper if they are good!) Must book restaurant reservations immediately upon arriving for entire stay! fill up fast.

The only room category that Cheap Caribbean has with direct pool access is the Jr. Suite Deluxe Pool - Adults Only . The Platinum and Laguna Vill Suites have increased levels of amenities but do not specify direct pool access.
