Amazing Resort
This was the biggest resort my boyfriend and I have stayed in and it was definitely worth it. There was so many different options on where you wanted to spend your day in paradise, there was 3 different beaches, an adult pool that gave you complete serenity, and there was the main pool that gave you the pool bar, fun atmosphere, and great vacation feel. This resort had 7 different restaurants and all of them where amazing and 5 courses, we never left one of them hungry. This resort was amazing and offers a lot of options! We will definitely be back!!

Good Value
This is a good value hotel. Rooms are nice, food is good, service is very good. Everyone was pleasant and helpful.
Beaches are nice but some rocks & algae to deal with. No beach service so drinks and food are far away. Didn't hang out at the pool but looked nice and big. Not many activities on site.
I wouldn't return because there is no room service. One sports bar stays open 24hrs which could be far depending on your room location. Also, drink cups are tiny - like 8 or 10 ounces so make sure you double up or bring your huge travel mug for refills!
We really enjoyed this resort. Food was much better than your typical all inclusive. The Italian and Steak restaurants are in high demand so you need to get there early. The beach is definitely rocky but it is much quieter and private than the main pool. We really enjoyed the spa pool and hot tubs - probably our favorite thing about the resort. The staff were wonderful with the exception of the water sports staff. We used the kayaks(which were great) and snorkel equipment but the staff was rude and acted though we were inconveniencing them. The two adjacent resorts are very expansive and made for a great morning walk or run. The rooms were very spacious, loved the balcony and walk in shower. We would definitely return and recommend this resort to others.
We stayed in the honeymoon suite and absolutely loved it! The pool was beautiful, the beach was beautiful, the service couldn't have been any better. A lot of walking but they were always ready and willing to take us on the shuttle. Everyone we encountered was polite and eager to please. We can't say enough about how nice of a place it is and how wonderful the people are. Can't wait to go back!

resort fees3 answers
i want to book a package at the sheraton in nassau. i'm concerned about resort fees. does anyone know if the total price includes the $40/nt mandatory fee imposed by the resort?
2 years, 28 months ago
mrsmatt
Great question! Short answer: Yes!
All CheapCaribbean.com pricing includes mandatory fees (such as daily resort fees, bellmans fees, maids fee, etc.). We strive to make our clients' trips go as smoothly as possible.
A few things that may not be included in the hotel rates may be incidental fees, which may vary from resort to resort and are only a hold on the account. Incidental fees are assessed directly from the property in the event that additional services are purchased. For example: spa services are billed to your room, damages to the room occur during your stay or other scenarios such as those.
GetawayGuru
Once we got there everything was paid for. We did tip our waiters and maids, but you don't have to.

Any security guards at any of these resorts?11 answers
2 years, 27 months ago
Kay
Most resorts do have security on site to ensure that those on property are guests of the resort. Since many of the resorts in Jamaica are all inclusive, the resorts make every effort to ensure that only those who are supposed to be there are allowed on property.
KateCC
Yes, I regularly saw security guards patroling the grounds.
Thom
Yes, they have ,any and the patrol the grounds regularly. I felt very safe!

I was there about two weeks ago. There were security guards that walked and were visible throughout the property. I felt very safe in the property.

Kay,
There is security at the gates, it is walled and fenced at the peremeter and there are guards through out. I have never seen unwanted guest and we have been there 3 times.

Should we make reservations for the sit down restaurants before we go?
Is there a limit to the number of times you can eat at the sit down restaurants?
2 years, 26 months ago
Mcmurray
YES MAKE SURE U MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR THE SITE DOWN RESTAURANTS. THERE IS NO LIMIT
MrFlySoHigh
The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton does not require reservations to dine at any of their ala carte restaurants-first come-first served, with no limits.
ccsusan1
No not really. Because we really didn't wait that long.15 min the Max.
I think there is because they ask you your room number. But why would you eat in the same place the same night. so many restaurants and they give you a lot of food.
Anonymous
DEFINTLY MAKE RESERVATIONS!
no limit....
Anonymous
We were told upon arrival they do not take reservations- what you do is go to where you want to eat and if there is a wait you can go sit at the bar and they'll call you when a table is ready- best to get there early if you are hungry. The portions may be smaller than what we are used to in the states but since you are not paying you can get whatever you want, and there's always a salad bar.
There is no limit- you could eat at the beachside seafood restaurant (our favorite) every single night if you want! Great place to get there early and watch the sunset- very romantic, there was even a small wedding party there one night.
Also we thought the creole restuarant and Indian restaurant were way underrated and there was never a wait!
(of course it depends how crowded the whole resort is I suppose)
suekb
We were there just last week and they were not taking reservations. First come first served.
apriltraveler
We tried to make reservations and they wouldn't take them. First come first serve. The steak house was the longest wait and really not worth the wait. If you go to eat at 5:30 to 6:00 no problem. After 6:00 will be a bout 30 to 60 minute wait, Just go to the outside bar and have a drink. Wait isn't bad.
There is no limit
rasky
I know there is not a limit to the number of times you can frequent one place. I am almost positive they don't take reservations.
JeannieC
I don't think a reservation is needed. We had troubles one night getting a seat in one of the restaurants, so we waited until the next day and went.
MeFitz
We made our reservations when we got there they tell you to have it done before two o'clock and we made our reservations all at once and there was no limit on what restaurant we ate at.
PEGGY33
Reservations are not accepted for the restaurants. Later dinner times is your best bet... i.e. 8'sh. You can eat at any of the restaurants as many times as you would like. May I suggest the Indian restaurant? It's very good! In the Italian restaurant...don't order the calamari (ick). Also, the burgers on the beach are amazing!! A must have if you eat meat. I don't like burgers but had one every day:-)
Indianapolis
Check with the front desk when you check in on whether you can make reservations or not - not sure if everyone can. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary - which we informed them of ahead of time - and they gave us a special RED wrist band - which supposedly let us make reservations.... We did it once. The other nights we just showed up, in some cases we had a little wait - not too bad - one time we decided to head to a different restaurant due to a 30 minute wait....
No limit to how many time you eat at any restaurants! Food was fabulous. We did not have a bad meal OR DESERT!

which room has the jaquzzi?11 answers
this package comes with the jr. suite and that does not say it has one but the upgrade (one bed room suite) states in the description that it has one in the bathrooms. i have seen the one bedroom suites on youtube and there were no jaquzzis but i saw a studio with one. well all in all i have no idea, all i want is a jaquzzi.

The Jr. Suites have a very large bathtub with jets. I guess it is not a real jacuzzi but we enjoyed it. It is larger than a regular tub.
TaooftheCaribbean
most of their rooms are jr. suites and they all have jacuzzi's.

I just got back from my Honeymoon in Jamaica (Grand Palladium) and i stood in a 1 bedroom suite and yes it does have a Jacuzzi.

We upgraded to the 1 bedroom suite and had a great bathroom with a big jaquzzi tub and a seperate large shower.
jrfrog
All the suites have a jaquzzi tub big enough for 2. The honeymoon suite has the biggest one.
Walrus
We had the junior suite and had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.
CaribbeanBound
Hey Tina,
I know pretty much all junior suites comes with a Jacuzzi.
Agent2014
Not sure if Jr. Suites have jacuzzis, but the Villa suites definitely have oversized 2-person jacuzzis; as well as an outdoor private shower. Worth the upgrade!
NVanDe
We had one in the (king)one bedroom suite inside the bathroom.
ChuckE
We just came back from the Lady Hamilton a few weeks ago and stayed in a Jr. Suite. Ours had a a jaquzzi in the bathroom and was medium size (great for one person...a bit tight for two). I think the bigger suites come with a jaquzzi twice the size of the Jr. Suites.

The beaches at this resort have the rare combination of white sand, clean water, very little seaweed, and lush vegetation that provides shade on a hot day. This generally extends to the grounds and and pool.

The resort offers shows and games in the theater nightly. There is also the Boogie Woogie night club, which is air-conditioned and is open from 11pm-2am. How many people are at the club and out and about at night can vary greatly depending on the current clientele at any given time, however.
KristinCC
Poor. the casino is nothing. The dance club is empty and the live music isn't always very good. There are shows nightly, but we missed them all because we were stuck in restaurants.
VAgirl
Non-existent really. Everything starts to shut down at 11 - I guess if you are up at 7 a.m. in the sun that it's hard to last into the night. There is a disco that is open until 1 a.m. but nothing spectacular.

What is the difference between the two Grand Palladium properties advertised?7 answers

The Grand Palladium Jamaica and Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton are the same resort with two separate buildings. Both sides of this resort have shared amenties. The biggest difference is the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton offers Suites that are adults only.
MeganCC
This resort is so huge that we didn't walk over to the Grand Palladium side really. I did see the villas, they seemed to be the same as the Lady Hamilton side from the outside, the Grand Palladium side backs up to the main road whereas the Lady Hamilton side is more along the beach and closer to the restaurants and pool, it is definitely more quiet and private.
dani26
Nothing really. It is really one big resort.
Stoneman527
Both of the properties are actually connected and within comfortable walking distance. Overall, there seems to be more stuff on the Lady Hamilton side. I'm glad we stayed on the LH side b/c that's where the beaches are, the Jerk Hut, the Spa, and a majority of the restaurants.

Dining options and local cuisine, especially special requests, are cultural differences and subject to change whenever and wherever you travel.
We cannot guarantee dining options. The resorts will work with you as best they can, but gluten free meal requests cannot be as readily met as vegetarian meal requests.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa: Reignite with All-Inclusive
Luxury
Imagine warm bubbles trekking upward in the private Jacuzzi in a villa suite,
while you and your sweetie snuggle together and enjoy the stunning view of the
Caribbean through the window. Pure fantasy? Not when you stay in the villa
suites for couples at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa! Just 40
minutes west of Montego Bay, this all inclusive resort is set on an isolated
stretch of coast outside the charming village of Lucea.
Jaws drop the moment guests set eyes on the stunning, 86,000-sq-ft pool with
four Jacuzzis. Jutting out into the vast circular pool is a two-story structure
housing the Blue Lagoon Restaurant, one of the resort's three buffet
restaurants. Four open decks offer panoramic views of pool and sea.
After a dip in the couples-only pool, you and your sweetheart can enjoy a
romantic stroll along the picturesque beach at Sunset Cove. This beach, home to
the resort's Water and Diving Center and surrounded by natural reefs, is a
great place to try snorkeling, kayaking or windsurfing for an afternoon
adventure. Or, for a more leisurely excursion, your honey may suggest a pedal
boat or basking in the sun at the resort's two other beaches.
With three buffet restaurants and seven A la carte options, you'll never be
bored at dinner. Your biggest dilemma is deciding where to start. Is tonight an
evening for grilled rack of lamb with Mediterranean herbs at Reggaetoni, the
cleverly named Italian restaurant? Or, would it be better to order the snapper
marinated in Tandoori-baked yogurt and spices at Bhogali, the restaurant
specializing in Indian cuisine? The choice is yours.
There's plenty to do close to the hotel. Just 10 minutes to the east is the
renowned Tryall Country Club, widely considered the best in Jamaica. You can
also charm your honey with an unusual, yet romantic river "cruise" on a bamboo
raft. An expert raftsman steers you through mild rapids and lush scenery on an
unforgettable journey.
