Great Trip! Not enough time to enjoy it all.

After reading the mixed reviews my wife, adult son and his girl friend decided to stayed at the resort from 5-5 to 5-9-2107. Our visit makes us wonder who wrote all the bad reviews and why. The food was great! That included the Breakfast Buffet, Dinner buffet, Steak House and jerk hut. We visited a different beach every day. We tried all the bars. I never had a bad experience with any of the staff they all greeted us kindly and with a smile. Our house keeper was great we stayed in room 30-32 and she went out of her way to keep our room clean. She stayed late one night because we forgot to take the do not disturb sign off our door and she still insisted on thoroughly cleaning it to her standards. I feel like the staff really earns their pay. The room had a great view of the Caribbean just yards away. It was close to the one of the wedding sites, but that did not cause any problems. Our biggest regret was that we could not stay longer due to work factors. There was so much to see and do here we did not get a chance to do excursions and interact with more locals. I never felt like I had to tip, but the staff gave me such great service I felt like I had to show them my gratitude. We would definitely go back and the honeymoon suite was worth the price. My son upgraded after they got there and they were happy they did. The rooms are great.

Just returned from 7 day trip -- great vacation. Here's a very honest review. Overall, the resort is lovely. The room we stayed in (honeymoon villas) were AMAZING and worth every penny. As advertised, the pool really is HUGE; however, it does need a bit of repair: missing tiles; missing broken/missing handrails; non-functioning "hot" tubs in all pools. Although I did not travel with kids, the kids pool and areas were adorable and very nicely maintained. There appeared to be lots of programs for the kids to participate in. The food was tasty and plentiful -- lots of choices for meals. No reservations were needed for the a la carte restaurants but the waiting time was very long if you didn't get there super early. The only bad food experience was the Mexican restaurant -- terrible food and worse service. Speaking of service, it is hit and miss. Some of the staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly and accommodating; other staff members appeared uninterested and bored. There really did not seem to have anyone in charge; however, things appeared to run relatively smoothly. Check-in was way too long -- kept promising our room would be ready "soon" ...4 hours later we finally got our room (which was worth the wait). Resort is large and spread out but there were shuttles available if needed; very easy to navigate around the resport. The spa was pretty and the massages were very relaxing. The beaches were small, rocky (bring water shoes) and manmade. I knew this when we booked from reading other reviews and was okay with other...I did hear other people complaining about it. Don't expect gorgeous beaches like in Negril or in Punta Cana; but there were plenty of chairs (with and w/o shade) and beaches were clean. Might be a good idea to bring your own beach towels as towels were definitely a hot commodity; resort constantly ran out of clean beach towels. Also bring lots of tip money b/c unlike other all-inclusive resorts I've been to, the staff here really expects tips. The casino was very small. Resort had a "boogie-woogie disco" that opened every night at 11:00pm. We never went but I heard it was fun. The sports bar is open 22 hours a day. There was a different themed show each night at 9:30pm - entertaining perhaps, but definitely not super talented. All ages were at this resort: infants to 80 year olds. Lots of families but just as many couples and single groups of people. There had to be at least 3-4 weddings a day (which was fun to watch). Overall, the trip was great and we would definitely stay here again.

I never leave reviews but....

Horrible service Food wasn't good other than the steak house Beaches are not as nice as in the pictures Too big of a resort, you have to take carts to go places Understaffed... you have to wait 20 minutes for a drink at the bar and 45 minutes to an hour to sit an eat. Don't waste your time and keep looking

The BEST!!!

I stayed at The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton on April 25-30, 2017 and I must admit it was the best!!!! There's SO much to do at the hotel and the food was Great as well. The employees are very friendly and don't forget to bring singles to tip them as well. The hotel grounds are kept very clean and the room was clean and and smelled fresh. We did three excursions which were worth it as well ATV riding, zip lining and Dunns River falls. Make sure u check out Margaritaville as well. So YES THIS HOTEL IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. Already planning second trip!

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-beautiful and all you'd ever want in a beach vacay. Swoon.

The 86,000 sq. ft. infinity pool with four Jacuzzis. You could hang here the entire time & be just fine.

Reservations are not required at any of the restaurants.

Modeled after Roman baths, the epic spa's stress-busting massages, Turkish baths & more.

Teeing off at the renowned Tryall Country Club that's just 10 minutes away. Schwing.

Swooning over the panoramic view of the pool and teal ocean from the Blue Lagoon restaurant.

What We'd Change

The resort is built in rugged country, so the man-made beaches are rocky. Even so, the area is beautiful, and with five pools, finding a place to swim is no problem.

Why You Should Go

It's about 40 minutes from the airport - blink and you'll have a chilly drink in your hand.

You can hop on catamarans, kayaks, pedal boats, snorkeling & windsurfing 100% FREE.

Volleyball, tennis & aerobics are available for calorie burning. (Dip into the ocean to cool off.)

Dunn's River Falls is not too far away and is a must-splash. Jump in.

Since these are villa-style, three-story buildings, there are no elevators. Better than a stair-climber.
