My Birthday Flop

I decided to pick a short getaway for my 30th bday but it wasn't all that I had hoped for. The rooms are out dated the staff faces look as if you ask for anything that you're bothering them. I'm not sure if it was because it was the weekend but in order to get a napkin in the buffet it took 6minutes. The first night we got there we accidentally made a spot on the bed house keeping did not switch out the bed spread. Ok so the next day we had an even larger stain (not intentionally) so the sheets were changed but the house keeper did not leave any towels. I'm not sure why she didn't leave behind any towels. So we called the front desk 3 times in the span of 45 mins asking for towels but we have yet to receive those towels. The resort is sub par. I am not one.for.doing reviews but I felt the need to do so. I WOULD NOT recommend this resort to anyone.

Enjoyed my stay

The resort is well maintained. The grounds are clean and the overall resort is friendly and welcoming. The staff was the most gracious hosts I have ever met on vacation. The staff is very knowledgeable of everything about the resort. You can ask anyone for help. The rooms were immaculate. The housekeeping department gave excellent service. I enjoyed all the meals in the restaurants and the jerk chicken at the Jerk Hut. Plenty of rum punch all day. I'd like to thank Marcia, Jeffery, Akoi, Kamesha. Atoya...they gave excellent service. The bar at the travelers club was great and the snacks there were very tasty. The best beach is at the trackers club. I also enjoyed the pools and saunas at the spa. I would definitely go back. My only complaint is that the beds on the Jamaican side of the resort were not good. It was extremely difficult to sleep on that mattress that felt like cardboard. Hopefully they'll upgrade the bedding soon. It was a good value.

Just ok

No wifi in the room. Wifi was advertised but was not delivered. This is a big resort and the shuttle service was not reliable. On the other hand the restaurants were ok, the pool great, but the best feature was The Spa. The services were not in the all inclusive, but we were happy to pay. The hydrotherapy is included when you get a treatment. We spent a lot of time at The Spa. No jet skis, no kayaking available. Overall it was just ok

Great time..very nice !

Definitely a great value....but first and foremost, this was my first time booking with Cheap Caribbean and it was great. John Jordan was always there for service with all are questions before leaving and trip went without flaw. The resort is huge...you will do alot of walking!. Rooms were great, food was good. Alot of very nice people with good service but alos some not so nice people. The hotel does need to speak to their male workers regarding "talking with femaile guests" .. Especially our teenage girls..inappropriate!. It was our first trip to Jamaica and it was alot of fun, although I think next time I will take the extra drive time for Negril only because I prefer all one length of beach.

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-incredible and all-irie - you're in the earth-heaven known as Jamaica.

The dreamy 86,000 sq. ft. infinity pool with in-water loungers & Jacuzzis - the largest in Jamaica.

Vegging at the Zentropia spa - Turkish baths, Finnish sauna, the refreshing footbath & oceans more.

If you're vegetarian, they've got taste bud-slaying food choices.

The ever-helpful & friendly staff - they're the crowning jewel of this awesome place.

The delish Jamaican coffee in the cafe. Perfect any time.

What We'd Change

The city of Lucea is pretty quiet, but you will not need outside nightlife when the bars, theater and nightclub at the resort are happening!

Why You Should Go

It's just a half hour from airport, but in Jamaica you'll feel the vacay vibe the second you arrive.

There are sister privileges next door at the Lady Hamilton.

The Kids Club for ages 4-12 is where kiddos can meet "Raggs," one of 5 musical friendly dogs.

There's no smoking in all public covered areas on the island as per the Jamaican Health Minister.

The catamarans, kayaks, pedal boats and snorkeling are complimentary aka FREE.

For a fee, you can enjoy sailing, scuba diving, the fitness center and more.

On land, there's tennis, archery, mini-golf & for bigger greens, tee off at the Tryall Golf Course.
