Dont Do It

I was very disappointed in this location. I had gotten the room specifically for that hot tub that was supposed to be in the room. The hot tub did not work the entire week that we stayed there other than once after they had sent someone out the second time to fix it. The customer service was horrible. Out of the 3 "customer service managers" that I had to deal with one got very annoyed and told me that the issue "wasn't his problem". Also the room was not ready at the check in time and I was asked to wait at the bar for about 45 minutes. The key stopped working 3 times in the first 24 hours causing me to take a very long walk back to the front from my room (the resort is very large). Also there were sensors that turned off the power at night and required me to get out of bed 4-5 times per night in order to get the sensor to realize I was in the room and turn the a/c and fan back on. The refrigerator in the room worked horribly and the drinks were room temperature or just over at all times. Also other than 2 restaurants (Italian and Japanese) the food choice was poor at best, and not very tasty. In addition to this, if you do not pay the fee to upgrade to the "preferred" wrist bands so you can make a reservations than you will likely be told that the restaurant is full for the night and to try again tomorrow. We also booked some excursions that they forgot to put us on the list for and that caused us to need to reschedule our trip itinerary because we could not go at the planned time. The only thing that they were efficient at was making sure they got paid for the extra charges and got me out of the hotel.

Good and bad

Overall great trip perfect for relaxation. Beach was beautiful! Service was accomdatinf and not much of a language barrier to those that weren't fluent in the language. I was disappointed with what the "deals" from cheapcaribbean entailed. I had to switch a passengers name just a name....and it ended up adding an additional 33% to my total just making it a normal priced trip. The vouchers were nor money to be used toward anything that would really be necessary except the $10 off a bottle of wine. They were very specific and had more exclusions then inclusions. Do not fly spirit either the layovers are very very long. I'm extremely pleased with the resort and what the resort had to offer me but I was not pleased with the "deal" cheapcaribvean tried to tell me I was getting.

Great vacation

This resort was pretty good! The room we had which was the Jr. Suite deluxe was beautiful! I am so happy I upgraded my room to that one! The resort itself was nice. A lot of different food options to chose from. several different buffets, restaurants, beach snack bar and room service. Couldn't ask for much more! Several different pools to chose from. One pool has a lot of entertainment in the afternoon - competitions and dancing etc. The only thing you must know is that when you go to check out you have to bring the keys and pool towel cards back to the desk. We left ours in the room not knowing they would collect them to re-use them and we had to walk all the way back to the room (which was a very far walk considering the resort is huge) and use a key they gave us to get back in the room . So make sure you bring your keys back to the desk at checkout time. Most of the workers are friendly and helpful.

Great Experience

I had a great experience to be honest. The resort is very big and their service is great. They have shuttle train transportation to take you to different resorts within the resort as well as the beach, which was really nice. The pool area is fairly clean and the swim up pool bar was great. I would say they could use a couple of more workers in most places such as the swim up bar, and the 24 hour sports bar, the service in there wasn't the best, but the staff is VERY NICE and FRIENDLY. Get to know the staff and have conversations with them and they are very nice. Everybody is helpful and always smiling. The Disco is great at night. The music first night which was Wednesday night sucked, but the rest of the weekend the music was nice, and everybody was coming there to dance and party. Overall, my friends and I had a great experience. The room beds were comfortable. There were certain little things that bothered me, like some areas not being as clean as i expected them too. The food selection was not the greatest but the breakfast and dinner buffet had pretty much everything so if you can make it to that i highly recommend you eat there. Pros The bars, and service 24 hour open sports bar for drinks and food Disco literally right in front of the lobby. VERY CLOSE TO BARS OUTSIDE THE RESORT IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO LEAVE. DRINK POINT is great. STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE. Cons Some areas could be cleaner. They don't mention that you must bring those towel cards they give you back during check out or they will charge $20 per card. ( I threw mine out because I brought my own towels from home) Just make sure you guys check all the fees and read everything so you don't get charged any extra fees upon checking out.

What's to Love

All-inclusive beachy hot spot on the jaw-dropping Bavaro Beach. Totally worth it.

Spectacular service that spoils you from the moment your flip-flops hit the deck.

Five pools throughout the complex where you can sip and sun and savor this vacay haven.

Cocktail service on the beach and at the pool. Let the drinks come to you, while you sip under the Palapa.

Detoxing at the gym, then being pampered at Zentropia Spa - nothing beats sinking into a Turkish Bath.

Activities galore for you and the fam, including a Kid's Club and a club for the teens.

What We'd Change

This is a huge resort, but it has to be if you want all the great features.

Why You Should Go

A short zippy ride from the airport to the resort where a Welcome Cocktail awaits you and the party starts.

You've got privileges at the two other resorts in the Palladium Punta Cana complex. Mega bonus.

A palatial sized resort that caters to all your dining whims. Some are spread out, giving you time to explore.

Themed parties throughout the week - like the Foam party on Thursday. Crazy fun.

Buy your tourist card before you leave - saves a step at the airport so you can get beachy faster.
