Great Week

Upgraded to a beautiful suite and it was perfectl! Beaches were beautiful, with decent snorkeling along the entire property. Only downside was to get dinner reservations you had to stand in line everyday at 4 pm. Hit and miss, unless you got in line at 2-3 pm, not convient. Otherwise very nice resort!

Good place but......

This is a nice resort. We had upgraded to the ocean ire rooms. Very nice, roomy, comfortable. They were able to get us a roll away bed for our granddaughter which was helpful. Daily service was well managed. We were on the second floor and had a nice balcony and a great view. Balcony door was difficult to open but having sliding screens was a benefit. The room fridge was restocked daily with drinks but never snacks. That would have been better. The beds were very firm but not uncomfortable. The resort needs to replace pillows. Those were just bad. The shower was hard to regulate and had very poor water pressure. This needs improved. Wifi for 2 devices was included. It worked most times but could be very spotty both in the room and worse outside by the pools. It's quite slow. I saw 4 pools at Grand Oasis and one at Oasis Lite. At grand, the infinity pool is adult only. One small pool below our rooms and 2 more in an near the kids area. One was a kids pool that was well laid out. The floating plastic climb/slide scared me a lot. That was far too risky for a child to fall head first into 4' of water. Another more adult pool steps away with a volleyball net. The kids pool has its own kids swim up bar as does the adult pool. Both are great! Huge kudos to Manuel at the adult side. Drinks were great as was the service. He enjoyed his job. Beach was ok. The reef keeps it safe. Is recommend reef shoes for the rocks. Beach chairs were at a premium. Most with shade were taken by 7am. The buffet was average. Hard to get any service for water or drinks EXCEPT for the morning when Luis Torres Lopez was working! Major thanks to him for finally getting me tea! (Could not find anything except herbal tea). The specialty restaurants Coral and Dos Lunas were both great but the resort's process to get reservations was not just absurd but downright annoying. You have to wait in line between 4-5 to get reservations each night. You have to be there by 3-315 to get choice or by 330 to get anything. So few reservations and wasting my vacation time for over an hour really annoyed me. By far the worst problem was check in. Due to the upgrade we had "private" check in. Our plane arrived early and transport for us to the resort by 1130am. But no way to check in before 3pm. Stuck without a place to change for 3.5 hours darned near ruined the whole trip. One would think the resort could at least provide a complimentary room for guests to change and then move their luggage later. No. You could try changing in bathrooms but the public bathrooms were tiny and heavily used. For me to even consider this resort again this would have to be changed. As I said, it's a nice resort. About what you'd expect for the price.

Oasis

Switched rooms after one day due to moldy smell and toilet leaking. No problems switching. The beach was a bummer because it was really rocky and not much of it. However, the tropical fish made up for that! We loved Hector, Anna, and DJ Pepe. The staff was super nice. The shows were fun but waiting in line for reservations was not. I suggest getting in line a half hour beforehand if you want to dine at the places you want.

Paradise

The coffee and me opens at 7am not 10am like the website says. The resort is really spear out so learn your way around. Rooms are very nice. They showers were slightly sketchy. Short walk to the beach. A lot of pools to choose from. The food was pretty good. Over I had a great time and would stay here again
