Worse experience ever

We had looked forward to this vacation for months, howevee, it rained causing water in our room. My guest fell on the water, causing bruising and other able to participate in any excursions. There was water in my suitcsse, and no one cared. There was no competition offered and no one checked on us. I will never ever return to oasis cancun. What a waste!!!

2 Year Anni Trip

Do's: The ocean was beautiful with soft white sand. Our room overlooked the ocean, and it was spacious. This was the best part of my trip. Loved the Steakhouse, and Mexican-Japanese Fusion restaurant. The buffet didn't have a large variety of choices but it was decent. Everyone greeted you, friendly, and was helpful. We did the Jungle Maya excursion and had a blast. You are not allowed to bring electronics though. You would have to pay for your pics/videos. We paid $70.00 for the USB that included everything. I think that is a good deal. Strip is easily accessible. We went to a club and had fun. The only issues I had was the heat (SO HOT) & people smoking in the club. Don'ts: I did not like how there were many Time Share reps trying to sell you time share. They wore brown uniforms. Please see stay away from them unless you are interested. They got my boyfriend by saying " Did you receive your welcome bottle of Tequila? It's free!" Believe me we got the bottle after telling the reps numerous times we were not interested nor have $11,000!! Room Service did not provide new beach towels everyday. One day our room wasn't cleaned until late, but we fixed that & didn't have a problem after that. I am not sure if they changed the sheets though. I don't think so, but I am not sure. The airport was sold out on HENNY WHITE! OMGGGG The clubs at the hotel is nothing to shout about. Everyone travels to the strip. You can take the bus for $1 US one way ( about 10 mins away) When it rained, puddles of water appeared in random places in our room. We just put a towel over it. It wasn't a major thing for us.

disappointing and smelly

Air conditioning ran constantly and did little, so everything always smelled damp and musty. Lighting in the bathroom and entry was tiny little spot lights, we used a flash light to see the back of the closet shelves - and forget putting on makeup in the bathroom. Restaurants where we ate were OK but don't ask for red wine, there is only one brand and it is like vinegar. Unless you buy an entire bottle of a name brand, plan to stick with water or beer. Housekeeping never happened until around 5:00 or 6:00 pm, just when we wanted to shower and get ready for dinner. Why so late? Insufficient staff perhaps? But there was always a cart in the hall. The resort did not seem to have anywhere near the number of guests to match the available rooms so what would happen during the busy season? The building we were in had some maintenance issues as it always smelled like sewer and one morning there was a water leak sufficient to have it run quite a distance down the marble hall and down the stairs. Then the building really smelled bad. Outdoors was better - nice pool and beach, though it was pretty aggressive surf. Caution, this is one of the resorts that defines specific areas for Vacation Club members only so a few of the restaurants, bars and some areas of the pool are restricted to members only. I hate seeing all the amenities and things on the web site and finding out you are restricted after you book and arrive. Make it clear on the website that you need to buy a membership in order to take advantage of all the resort says it is offering. But if you want to buy a membership, there are so many reps on site it feels like a convention. Maybe they could help with the housekeeping. Just never got a comfortable, relaxed feeling at this resort. It felt more like something to endure than to enjoy.

Ruined Vacation

My vacationed was completely unsatisfactory do to Grand Oasis. Grand Oasis had given us poor service. Our Wifi did not work, and they told us there was nothing they could do. The fridge in our room did not work. Maid service rarely came even though we had consistently asked for service. I also noticed many other guests unhappy with the conditions as well. We will not be back!

What's to Love

The resort sits on an almost half-mile of snow-white, soft, sandy beach. Get those toes ready.

Stress-busting, poolside massages overlooking the turquoise Caribbean. Melt.

It has the longest pool in Cancun - it's a quarter-mile long. (You can find your own Private Idaho in it.)

The non-stop crazy fun: themed parties, dancing, shows & more.

The frosty Coco Locos at the swim-up bar. The day drinking is on.

Doing absolutely nothing except chillaxing in the cuddly robe and slippers that await you in the rooms.

What We'd Change

Grand Oasis Cancun is a little far from Cancun's nightlife. If you're heading out to experience a lively evening, catch a cab and party the night away.

Why You Should Go

It's 25 short minutes away from the airport. Your first frosty vacay cocktail is a heartbeat away.

You can rent a Smart car, and zip around Cancun in style.

You can burn off those margaritas with aerobics, cross fit, yoga and Zumba.

There's a nine-hole, par 3 golf course that's near the resort.

Water sports nearby at AquaWorld: kayaks, catamarans and aquatic bikes. Splish splash.

You've got 20 restaurants and 20 bars to savor on this vacay. Time to dig in at all this deliciousness.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Have an All-Inclusive, More-Than-Grand Vacay

This rockin' resort is epic fun. Here, you'll get a big heaping helping of the cultural aspect of Mexico. For instance, you can enjoy a "Grand Mexican Experience" with a long list of delicious grub spots to go with it that features Mexican tequilas, Mexican wines and dishes from Northern Mexico, plus tastes from Los Agaves and Guadalajara Delights. There's a world-class golf course near. Gotta love that. The spa is fantabulous. Perfect for chillaxing and recovering from all the merriment you'll have here. If you want all the extras that you so deserve (and you know, you do), make sure you book a Grand Plus room. It comes with it all.

BEACHES AND POOLS

The 650 meters of pristine, sugar-white sand is more than swoon-worthy, as are the two beach clubs that each boast DJs. The pool, well, let's just say: be prepared to have your hair blown back. It's 300 meters long and one of the largest in Latin America. Peace out, beach lovers.
