Beautiful Island, Beautiful People
We stayed at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We had a fantastic stay from check in to check out. All our dealings with the front desk went well, with the employees going out of their way to help. We had a room with French Balcony on the fifth floor (make sure you ask for a higher floor) which was great. Breakfast and Lunch by the open sliding doors was amazing. There are many restaurants within walking distance and the bus service which runs 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. was very handy to get to Georgetown. We also rented a car for a day to tour the island and went to Calypso Grill for an amazing dinner. We purchased food for lunch and breakfast at the store which was a 10 min walk. Cemetery Beach was great snorkeling and you can take a bus there. We also took a jet ski tour with Fat Fish Adventures which was lots of fun.
The hotel met all our expectations, it may not be as luxurious as others but it was very pretty and we appreciated the smaller size which meant a lot less people on the beach. The beach seemed to be much larger than some other resorts and the water was perfect. In all, we hope to return to Grand Cayman and would return to the Beach Suites.
Beautiful, breath taking view of the ocean. Had a rm on the 5th floor, but the upper rooms had the best views! If we would have had a lower room, our view would have more than likely been blocked by the palm tree's. The room was spacious, comfortable, and the service was friendly & helpful! Loved it, would go back to this place for sure!
The rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. All the staff were very friendly and attended to any needs promptly. Will definitely stay here again. We have been coming to Grand Cayman for many years and by far this is the best "hotel" we have ever stayed it! Great job GCBS staff!
My wife and I just spent a week at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites. The room was spacious and had a view of Seven Mile Beach. The service in general was attentive and pleasant. The hotel is right in the heart of Seven Mile Beach and a close walk to many nice restaurants and bars. It was on a nice stretch of the beach but there were other parts of the beach that were wider. We went during the first week of June and the off-season was really relaxing. Often, there were only a few other people on the beach and we did not need reservations for any meals. Cheap Caribbean made the experience really easy!

which of the 4-5 star hotels in Grand Cayman include the most watersports without additional fees?3 answers
Want to take my family of four to Grand Cayman Island. Not sure what part of the island to stay on. Interested in Westin, Marriott, Ritz or Beach Suites on 7MB or maybe Morritts on north end. Also looking into upscale villas/condos. Just wondering which of these properties has the best snorkeling/diving facilities. The best beaches? Do any of these properties include non-motorized water sports without additional fees? We have a 21 and 16 year old, and none of us is scuba certified. We'd like to have the spaciousness of a condo but the service and amenities of a nice hotel. Any suggestions???

Of the options that you are interested in, we do offer the Westin, Ritz, Marriott, and Cayman Beach Suites. None of these resorts include non-motorized water sports, as they are an additional cost at each location. Many resorts have an on-site dive shop, or one that is located very close to the property. As snorkeling and SCUBA diving is very popular in the Cayman Islands, there are many options to choose from.

Just got back and stayed at the Westin. the location is great for relaxation but not close to nitelife. Most of the hotels yo mentiond have activities that pick up directly from the beach via boat. that is really nice for snorkeling & diving etc. there is an excellent reef 200 yards off the Westin beach easy to swim to. Resort dives are available at the hotel and training is in the hotel pool. Very convenient. Gear can be rented at the hotel on a per day basis. i woul dbring my own next time since you can snorkel so easily.

We were there from Nov.2-9th, 2011. I'm pretty sure everything there has additional fee's (unfortunately). We stayed at the Beach Suites & liked it alot! Red Sail is one of the main water sport places & they are located on site at this facility. The nicest hotel does look like it would have to be the Ritz. Anyways, the beach on seven mile is beautiful & fun, the most action would be found on seven mile. The North end is also beautiful but very quiet-not sure if the 21 & 16 yr old would be very entertained. The hotels offer scuba certification for resort diving you can sign up for & be trained in their pool & then they will take you out for a dive or 2. I highly recommend taking the Red Sail Stingray Sandbar & Rum Point tour. It costs $80.00 per person, but is a 5+ hr sailing trip, swim with rays, hang out at Rum Point (North side of island)-snorkel while there if you want & then sail back. Was super fun & relaxing! Anyways, hope this helped & have Fun!!

All Inclusive?1 answer
How can this vacation package be advertised as "all inclusive" when the only meal included is breakfast? What else is missing? Entertainment? Room service? Transportation to tourist destinations (museums, artifacts, other beaches, etc.) Alcohol and gambling money certainly should not be part of what is "all inclusive" but 3 full meals a day certainly should. Otherwise these are out of pocket expenses. And I'd guess by the end of your stay you will have gone through a pocket full of cash.
Just a word to the wise. Be prepared to spend more than you expect.

This resort is not advertised as being All Inclusive so there are no meals, beverages, room service, transportation, ect. which are included in the package price.

It seems impossible after viewing multiple sites to discern which rooms/rates apply to rooms with truly FULL balconies (i.e., those upon which you can sit on in a chair or lounge) as opposed to those that are merely sliding glass doors with a raiing (i.e., a "Juliet" balcony. What will it cost for an ocean FRONT room with a FULL balcony for May 17-22, 2012? Same for ocean VIEW room with a FULL balcony for the same dates if there is such a room.

53 suites located on Seven Mile Beach. Each air conditioned guestroom is equipped with ceiling fan, cable TV, wet bar, microwave, refrigerator, cofee-maker, toaster, iron/iron board, in room safe, hair dryer, and workstation with data port.
What a location! The suites are beautiful with all the comforts of home and spectacular views of 7 mile beach. Hemingways Restaurant is well known as one of the best places to eat on island and if you are looking for a bit of nightlife after dinner than Bamboo is it.
What We'd Change
The most expensive thing on this island is food So plan wisely, and stock up on snack and stuff at one of the local groceries and splurge on dinners.
Why You Should Go
Beautiful beaches, great resort with great food and exciting nightlife, top-notch European Spa facility, and if you are a golfer, Britannia Golf course, which was designed by Jack Nicklaus is conveniently located across the street.
