The resort was the best one yet. Just beautiful. Food was good, the special restaurants not so much. Made our reservations on the first day and weren't able to eat until 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, until we wised up and just went at regular supper time and the place had lots of empty tables from people that didn't show up yet... They did keep running out of drinks, that we were drinking?? odd... very crowded, most of the time, from the beach to the pools... hard to get a place at the beach unless your up at the crack of dawn. Liked the entertainment when we could see it, because of the late reserved supper hours... Most of the workers were nice and helpful.. although we did have an issue with a room lock key that didn't work for the first 3 days in! All in all in was a good trip and would love to go back.

A Big Place.....

A LARGE resort with several pools. Quick run down. I booked under adult only and they placed us in with the kids, as teachers on our spring break this is the last thing we wanted to see. Paid 250 for an upgrade to a room on the adult only side, had to wait 3 hours to get a room with the famous customer service line of "5 minutes please" , It felt good to know that I wasn't the only one as there were about 3 other couples meeting the same fate as us. Finally got to our room and its facing the construction. Way to get what you pay for!!! The construction is non stop 24 hours a day. So you will be rising to the sound of 1/4 mile deep drills all through the night. I went the next day to issue my complaint and after my "5 minutes please", he said he would help me tomorrow. Nope, never happened, he was off for the weekend. Food was decent for resort food, nothing mindblowing and nothing that awful. My best food came from going off the resort. Went to the Don Lucas factory and the driver never came back and had to pay for a cab to go back to the resort. Now there is good here. a large resort with lots of options and a good night show. Pool games were a little on the boring side but there were lots of pools to choose from. The beaches were nice and the only thing your wrist bands differentiated was if you had a black band which gave you privledge to that exclusive beach. Is it a Dreams, Sandals or RUI - NOPE... but it is a nice place to go for a family.

The trip was a disaster. Check in was a pain in the neck.Premium restaurant was another low. This was our 45th Anniversary wanted something nice, no room.We set trip up last year, Wi-Fi very bad they wanted you to buy the premium package. Was bullied in lobby by a 30 something, bartender where oblivious. Not going back there any time soon. This wasn't our first time there, never had any problem, with restaurant, food, pool, service.

I took my big family on this 2017 spring break to Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana. Each service members at Grand Bahia Principe was fantastic, helpful, and friendly. Layout of the resort was terrible,, food was not that great. We were sick of the food after the second days but really have other choice. Room is really old, dirty, and mold. We will never go back to this place.

What's to Love

It's an all-inclusive, all fun-in-the-sun hot spot for all ages.

Elongating on Bavaro Beach, named one of the top beaches on the planet by UNESCO.

Feeling the softness of your luscious skin after the oats and honey treatment at the spa.

Hydro-massage bathtub in the rooms - put in some bubbles and you're golden.

What We'd Change

Though wandering through the solariums and tropical gardens on the way to the beach can be fun, it's also quite a walk! Thankfully, the resort has free shuttles.

Why You Should Go

It's 25 minutes from the airport. You'll smell the salt of the sea very soon.

Your little urchins can splash around all day (every day) at the children's water park.

You can upgrade to The Club Golden & Golden Principe Club & enjoy rock star status.

You have access to everything (except buffets) at Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro and Turquesa.
