It is newly opened and that's always exciting. The property has been 100% remodeled. Everything from the rooms, to the beach, to the pool and the restaurants is all new. The beach itself is a darker sand, but no stones and the sea is very gentle.

I have just come back from the resort and was very impressed at what they have done. Once they get wireless all the property, it will be perfect.

Perfect for couples and families and is a great alternative to the Punta Cana area. Just 45 mins from Santo Domingo aiport along a great highway.
Gran Bahia Principe La Romana is located between Santo Domingo and La Romana by Mortero Beach. Recently re-opened after a $16 million renovation, there is always something to do at this resort. Choose from one of 3 a la carte restaurants and a snack bar or tempt yourself with a refreshing cocktail from one of the 4 bars. All restaurants are fully air-conditioned and non smoking.
