What I love about this resort:
The neat thing about this hotel is that half of it is in the jungle and the other half is on the beach. The rooms are all located in the half that is in the jungle but you have a choice of tropical or ocean views. The beach is actually across the street from the hotel but has everything you could want during a day at the beach....food, drink, beach activities and a great sundeck with cushy chairs. The hotel is located directly in front of one of the world's oldest, largest reefs, so divers love it.
What I wish I could change:
The hotel itself isn't directly on the beach but they've got a great beach club right across the street. It is very close and there isn't any traffic to deal with so you hardly notice.

Fiesta Americana Cozumel Dive Resort is situated in the center of a leafy tropical forest that swathes its rooms and casitas in a unique atmosphere, in perfect harmony with nature. On a deck at the base of the resort's pier, a dive center arranges scuba diving and snorkeling excursions that depart from the pier.

Dining:

**The Reef - Located on a terrace above the beach, The Reef features a sweeping view of the sea and serves buffet breakfasts and a la carte Mexican dinners. Air-conditioned.
**Hacienda Miramar - Reservations are required at this dinner house, which serves international a la carte dinners.
**Tropical Forest - Dinner buffets built around various cuisines such as Italian and Caribbean are featured. Breakfast buffets are also served occasionally.
*Lobby bar - This open-air spot includes a lounge with a television set and Ping-Pong, and is a popular gathering place after dark.
*Beach Bar - Oceanfront drinks and view.
*Pool Bar - Located between the Tropical Forest Restaurant and the main swimming pool.

*Kids 17 years old and under eat free from children's menu when parents order from the regular menu (now through December 31, 2009) when staying in the "No Meal Plan" room types.
