The Willow Stream Spa takes the indulgence up a level with a wide range of wraps, massages and facials. Try The Rose Renewal, a gentle exfoliation followed by a bath infused with chamomile and rose petals.

For dive-enthusiasts, Fairmont Southampton features a PADI-certified dive shop. Get on a first-name basis with the beautiful Queen Angelfish on one of Dive Bermuda's snorkeling tours. Or go deeper, for some of Bermuda's best diving, at one of the 300 wreck sites surrounding the island.

Location

45 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes via private ferry from downtown Hamilton.

Bermuda does not permit rental cars. Guests commonly take taxis to hotels and use public buses and ferries to get around. Scooters, Bermudians' favorite means of transport, are readily available for rent. Driver's license is not required. Driving is on the left side of the road. Shuttle vans or private cars of varying prices are available.

Beach

Perched on the island's highest point, Fairmont Southampton overlooks the resort's 200-yard, pink-sand beach beside a turquoise cove protected by offshore reef and rock formations. Lounge chairs offer sunning opportunities; umbrellas provide shade. Complimentary trolley buses transport guests to the beach and water-sports cove, from where guests can catch a complimentary ferry to downtown Hamilton for shopping and dining.

Pools

Heated outdoor and indoor pools offer swimming and sunning alternatives to the 200-yard beach, which lies at the foot of the hill.

Golf

One of the winners of Golf Digest's "Best Places To Play Golf," this Bermuda golf resort's course features 18 par-three holes, most with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. With its lush tropical surroundings, dramatic elevation changes and strong coastal winds, this challenging 2,684-yd course is designed for golfers of all skill levels.

The Fairmont Southampton's Golf Course has just been recognized by the Audubon International Society as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary." They are the only course in Bermuda to have received this distinction, and are one of only 617 in the world to receive this honor.

Fairmont guests now have preferred access to Riddell's Bay Golf Course. Riddell's Bay is Bermuda's oldest private golf club with 18 holes and is a par 70.

Child Care

Explorers Camp is located on the Lower Lobby of the resort and filled with electronic games and activities. Camp supervisors and counselors are committed to ensuring children are safe. Children aged 3-4 are welcome to join Explorers Camp when accompanied by a parent or adult sitter. Camp fees apply.

For toddlers, a variety of age-appropriate toys can be signed out for use in your guestroom during your stay.

For families with children younger than 5 years of agae, personalized babysitting is available.

Water activities

Bermuda reefs are full of jacks, snappers, spiny lobster, parrotfish and stunning Queen Angelfish. As the "wreck capital of the Atlantic," Bermuda has over 300 wreck sites to visit. Voted No. 2 in the Carribean and Atlantic for wreck diving by Scuba Diving Magazine in 2011, there are numerous intact and historic wreck sites littering the shoreline in depths ranging from 32 ft to 70 ft of crystal clear water.

The Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda resort proudly boasts six hardcourt, beach-front tennis courts - three of which are lit for play nightly.

Facilities for Disabled

There are four rooms for the physically challenged, located close to the guest elevators, each on a different floor. The entrance door is 36'' wide and the bathroom door is 26'' wide. The telephone and light switch may be reached from the bed. The bathroom has grab bars for the toilet and the bathtub.
