Good for people on a budget

Emotions was a lovely little resort that was a great getaway for a couple on a budget. When we arrived at the airport in the Dominican we got right on the shuttle and it took us to the resort about a 25 min trip. The resort was very nice and well maintained. We stayed in the adults on section. On the weekdays we the place was not crowded, the two weekend days it seemed to fill up a lot. The pools and resort were very well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The coffee shop was great. The food at the restaurants was very good. The buffet was better than a typical college cafeteria but not out of this world. Again the price was right. The only real negative of the whole trip was you felt like you were constantly be sold something. Both on the resort from people selling other vacations and on the beach from people selling souvenirs, You were always on the defensive. Not adding to the relaxation. Again we were on a budget and for a young couple it was a great vacation!

May 2017 Review

The resort is beautiful, clean and close to the beach. Here is a pros/cons list Pros: Secluded, including beach area Clean Beautiful and clean pool Not too stretched out, everything in close walking distance Mexican and Dominican Restaurant Good deal on all inclusive Housekeeping in rooms - sweet and professional; clean and kept us stocked with needed items. Quiet rooms, cannot really hear neighbors Parties every night - even though there were not tons of guests in our last few nights, they still provided a party nightly to keep entertained. Disco! Cons: Buffet meals very mediocre if not less than You have to reserve dinner at the "Restaurants" the day prior to dinner; when you arrive you will miss a good dinner because you could not reserve your space. Cannot book excursions through hotel online People selling items on the beach harass you constantly to purchase their items Far from shopping for souvenirs only included beer is the "Presidente" Most signs are in English - Most staff doesn't speak English - Would've been helpful to know prior to trip; to brush up on Spanish language. All in all a great vacation - not much better than clear water and white sand beaches; a drink in your hand and not a worry in the world. A lot of quality for the price!

Awesome but watch out for....

The resort is amazing and I would totally go there again with my family of 9. But first beware when you upgrade to the Superior room you DO NOT get the individual "backyard" pool as shown in the picture you get access to a private pool and jacuzzi along with your whole building. The beach is across the street which is about a two minute walk. The whole resort speaks Spanish there were a few and I mean few that spoke English. It's kid friendly so there is not much of a night life for adults. There are no swim up bars or casinos. And there are three restaurants a la carte that are included in your vacation which all three were good by the way. The service was impeccable once you found someone who understood you. There is one Main pool and the Beach that's it. There are two other pools but they are "private" to the people in that building. Theres a lot of people who will try to get you to purchase a time share and they will ask you all week long. Again overall it was good and I would go there again.

Great time

My wife and I went for our honeymoon, from the first to last day we had an amazing time. Service was awesome, the music and games and activities throughout the day and at night were entertaining. Fun atmosphere overall.
