All Inclusive Motel at Best

From the moment we arrived we were disappointed. We checked in at the 3 pm check in time and were told that it would be about a 30 minute wait for our room key, when we finally received our room key the wait for someone to help with our luggage was so lengthy my boyfriend decided to carry it on his own. After lugging our bags all the way to the back of the resort, my boyfriend then had to pick up our bags and carry them up 3 flights of stairs as there are no elevators. Upon entering our room, which was mediocre at best, we found that it was not the king size bed we reserved but 2 queens. We contacted the front desk, waited about 20 minutes, and someone came and moved our bags down one floor to a king size bed. We then decided to go explore the grounds and attempt to get something to eat. We inquired about reservations for one of the 3 restaurants and were told that we could not make any for that night due to the fact that you must make them the day before and before 3 pm. This was very frustrating being that check in time is 3 pm and we were not made aware of this before checking in, or during check in. After going back and forth with the management, we were finally able to reserve something for our first night. As far as the food goes, the 2 buffets are like cafeteria food from a school, and if you don't catch it in the first hour the food gets cold and has flies all around it. The 3 restaurants are mediocre, but a good save from the buffets. But if you're hungry after 10 pm please make sure that you have brought some snacks, because the resort offers no food after 10 pm, and the gift shop that only sells some chips, closes at 11. The alcohol situation is not any better! There is no premium liquor available, not even if you're willing to pay extra. It is all cheap liquor we'd never heard of, and super sweet half frozen drinks. You can purchase like 2 different kinds of premium liquor in the gift shop for some astronomical price. The beach is across the street from the resort, and the street is a busy street utilized for other businesses, hotels and residences with lots of cars and motorcycles passing by. There is no waitstaff at the beach so if you want drinks or food you have to walk up to the bar to get it yourself. If you're a pool goer, good luck. There is one main pool and one adult pool which is not accessible unless you paid the extra money to access it. The main pool is nothing special, and is dirty after everyone being in it for a couple of hours, and it is not cleaned during the hours it is open. If you happen to be staying there on a Sunday, be ready to share the pool with anyone who pays for the day pass they offer, that allows anyone not staying at the resort to utilize the pool and free drinks from 10 am - 4 pm. The pool was so crowded at 10 am that we had to go to the beach across the street. These patrons were allowed to bring pool floats as well as speakers which were blaring music. Along with all of this you will be sharing your time with cats who roam the entire property, beg for food when you're eating, and we had the privilege of listening to cat fights and never ending meowing at night while we were trying to sleep. I would not recommend any one I know to stay here. This is a motel with cheap liquor and mediocre food. It is definitely not worth the money we paid, we were very disappointed.

The adult pool and hot tub was just for building 4 only; wish I knew that ahead of time. The food was just OK. but overall it was a good vacation. Cheap Caribbean was great. They met us upon arrival and departure from the airport.

A decent place for family vacation

It is a very good place to bring your family with you. The beach is very nice and the food supply is good. We love the Dominican restaurant and lead server - Domingo. The swimming pool is perfect for kids and all staff are nice and helpful. The room quality is average, but the air conditioner works fine. TV has only two English stations - the kids are complaining about it. I am fine with the CNN. Endless/enough supply of drinks and cocktails. The local beer is light, but taste ok. The red wine and white wine suck! However, the bar tenders is very nice, always smile to you, don't let you feel guilty (no solicitation for tips at all) - although I really want to tip them.

Mediocre

Beach is small with lots of seaweed. Pool does not have enough lounge chairs. Food is mediocre. Speciality restaurants are nothing special. On a more positive note - the staff is very friendly and they put a lot of effort into the nightly entertainment shows. The Michael Jackson show and 80's night were exceptional. I would not stay here again.
