Creative design guru Stephane Dupoux, was commissioned to create an outdoor living space for the El San Juan Hotel & Casino, The Waldorf Astoria Collection's pool areas. This brings the hotels guest the ultimate outdoor pool scene, adding an enchanting decor of mixed bedroom and bar elements to the deck and poolside areas. The Encanto Beach Club offers guests and families a social atmoshphere never before seen in Puerto Rico, with an open air lounge of 24 canopied, double-sided daybeds along the shoreline, three private cabanas, 25 versatile retro-cirular lounging pods, hammocks, swings, a swim-up bar, and outside shower. The overstuffed chaise lounges and cacoon chairs are popular with all ages.

DINING / BARS:

LA PICCOLA FONTANA - Intimate linen-service restaurant with ambience of soft lighting, murals, and chandeliers. Northern Italian cuisine, with choices such as pasta, risotto, veal dishes, and seafood. Open for dinner only.
THE PALM - Branch of the New York City steakhouse. Walls graced with caricatures of celebrities and Puerto Rico notables. Dark-wood booths. Menu of prime-grade steak, lobster, veal, and pasta. Open for dinner only.
LA VERANDA - Air-conditioned dining room and open-air seating on covered, balustraded terrace overlooking pool. Breakfast buffet and a la carte menu. Lunch menu featuring crab bakes, churrasco steak, roast chicken, charred tuna, sandwiches, salads, burgers, and pizza.
LA VERANDA BAR - Open-air bar featuring terrace barbecue on Saturday afternoons.
PASHA - Air-conditioned restaurant featuring Mediterranean-style seafood. Open for dinner only.
YAMATO JAPANESE RESTAURANT - This popular restaurant will re-open in December with new decor and the addition of an exotic blend of Pacific Rim cuisine, Sushi and Teppanyaki. Open for lunch and dinner.
THE RANCH - Casual, open-air restaurant on 10th-floor rooftop with expansive views of city lights. Seating under wood-beam ceiling and canopy. Rustic Western decor featuring weathered woods and a mechanical bull. Country and western menu of crab bake, chili, sandwiches, salads, steaks, and ribs. Open for dinner only.
TEQUILA BAR & GRILL - Casual, open-air restaurant on 10th-floor rooftop with expansive views of city lights. Seating under canopy. Mexican cuisine featuring ceviche bar and guacamole made at the table. Open from early evening for sunset margaritas until late night.
THE BISTRO - Lobby spot serving French soups, sandwiches, caviar, cheeses, and pastries.
OVAL BAR - Located in lobby. Lunch menu of sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. Light menu at night.
WINE & CHEESE BAR - Located in lobby. Appetizers and cocktails.
CIGAR BAR - Located in lobby. Cocktails, brandies, aged rums, and cigars.
THE CHICO LOUNGE- Located just off lobby. Red-plush walls with live music nightly for dancing.

LA TERRAZAS AND AQUA AIR BARS - both overlook the pool and beach with indoor and outdoor seating
BABYLON - Nightclub with viewing gallery, colorful lighting. Dancing Thursday-Saturday. No cover charge for resort guests.

Located 7 miles away from Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. To get to the resort, exit airport toward San Juan; take first exit to the right before the overpass; turn left at the stop light onto Isla Verde Avenue; hotel is located 2 blocks up on right-hand side.

Taxis and rental cars can be used to travel from the airport. Using buses or taxis to visit Old San Juan is recommended, as streets there are narrow and congested and both street parking spaces and parking garages hard to locate.
