El Dorado Seaside Suites - Gourmet All Inclusive

El Dorado Seaside Suites is an adults-only hotel located on Kantenah Beach in the Riviera Maya. From the moment of arrival, staff members extend attentive service, with guests ushered into a seated check-in, cold towels and drinks offered, and a golf-cart tour of the property given before guests are dropped off at their suites. Concierge services are found not only in the lobby, but also under awnings along the pathways that wind through the property.

Whether in the gardens, by the three swimming pools, or on the beach, guests do not have to look far to find a private cabana with white cushions and beds. With slat roofs and curtains blowing in the sea breeze, some are even two-story affairs, offering wider views of the beach and green Caribbean water. Staff members stroll the beach at noon offering picnic baskets to anyone who does not want to leave their shady palapas, and they return later in the afternoon with glasses of champagne.

Although all beaches in Mexico are public, access to the beach fronting this resort is usually limited to guests. One 500-meter (546-yard) stretch is rocky and separated from the resort grounds by a low rock wall, but another 1-km (0.5-mi) section is white sand and swimmable. The resort's rock pier allows guests to walk out over the clear green water.

Palm trees, cabanas, and palapas dot the beach, gardens, and pool areas, creating a romantic atmosphere. Paved pathways that wind through the lushly landscaped grounds connecting guest buildings, the spa, and restaurants are conducive to hand-in-hand strolls.

The beach and pier invites long strolls. An on-site dive center can arrange snorkeling trips (surcharges) along with scuba-diving courses, certification, and trips (surcharges for all).

A small fitness center provides treadmills, stationary bicycles, strength-training machines, and free weights. Spa offers lymphatic massage, grape juice hydrotherapy, and chocolate body treatments (surcharges for all spa and beauty products, services, and treatments). One treatment room is set up for couples, and massages can be done under a palapa on the beach. Windows in the sauna and steam room look out over the water.

Two computers in the lobby provide high-speed Internet access (surcharge) and staff members can help with faxes and other business services. Staff can also help arrange weddings on the beach or in a gazebo, as well as private, candle-lit dinners on the beach.

ARRECIFES - Offers international gourmet cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
LA CARRETA - Serves authentic gourmet Mexican cuisine for dinner with a la carte menu items. Teamed with the bar, La Cantina, a tequila bar that opens in the late afternoon with a selection of international brands and its popular margaritas. Dinner reservations required. Dress code: semi-formal, dress shorts or pants, shirt with sleeves, any shoes except beach sandals and tennis shoes.
KLAY TALAY - This second-story restaurant with view of the pool and beach serves Asian dishes. Includes Klay Talay Bar for pre-dinner drinks. Dinner only. Reservations required. Dress code: semi-formal, dress shorts or pants, shirt with sleeves, any shoes except beach sandals and tennis shoes.
SANDWICHERIE - Wood burning pizzas served to order, and a selection of Angus burgers and gourmet bites. Open from 11:30 am - 6:00 pm (times subject to change)

280 suites at El Dorado Seaside Suites Gourmet All Inclusive are housed in a series of 26 three-story white buildings that run parallel to the shore, affording guests quick access to the beach.

All suites feature either terraces or balconies furnished with two chairs (some may have a hammock). Four-poster, curtained beds with pillowtop mattresses and triple sheeting, jetted tubs large enough for two, and TVs with CD/DVD players are provided (some rooms come with plasma TVs). Smoking is not allowed inside suites.
