A snorkelers dream as the beach here is very calm and snorkeling equipment is included in the all inclusive plan. Don't miss having a seaside meal under the giant palapa here. What I love most about El Cozumeleno is the casual atmosphere. The staff, literally, treats you like family. The atmosphere and the jacuzzi with the seaview...it's a toss up.
Caribbean design, style, and atmosphere suffuse the El Cozumeleno Beach Resort. The resort's many activities include shows produced by the activity/entertainment staff at the resort's open-air theater three nights weekly. Open nightly, the El Cozumeleno's disco bar offers karaoke. A lovely plaza next to the indoor pool contains a colorful ceramic fountain, plus a black-and-white chess set with pieces the size of third graders. Also within the resort is a small, air-conditioned fitness center, a children's activities center, and a dive center for arranging scuba diving and snorkeling excursions. Free wireless is now available in the main lobby and convention center ideal for medium and small size meetings.
The resort's beachfront features calm water in most weather and snorkeling opportunities in front of the resort. Use of snorkeling gear, kayaks, and boogie boards is part of the all-inclusive plan. Snorkeling lessons, scuba diving introductory lessons, bicycle tours, kayaking, aerobics and volleyball are also included. An independently operated dive shop at the resort provides an introductory scuba-diving lesson in the pool and snorkeling tours in front of the resort and you can also arrange different activities such as scuba diving tours, deep sea fishing, jet skis, parasailing (surcharges apply).
Two freeform pools, a children's pool, and two spa tubs are arrayed above the beach. An air-conditioned club provides supervised children's activities (ages 5-12). A three-level, freeform activities pool extends 73 meters (80 yards) and includes jetted sections and a swim-up bar. The pool's highest level lies behind a waterfall under a domed, open-air pavilion and is adjoined by a 10-person spa tub. A second, "quiet" freeform pool measures 30.5 meters (100 feet) and is paired with 3.75-meter-diameter (12-foot) children's wading pool containing a mushroom-shaped shower. Elevated above the beach is a six-person spa tub providing sweeping sea views.

EL COCAL - Casual open-air, sea-view restaurant serving buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with an extraordinary view of the Caribbean.
LA VERANDA - Air-conditioned fine-dining dinner restaurant with pink-marble floor. A la carte service. Reservations required. Dress code: Long pants, sleeved shirts, closed-toe shoes or formal sandals for men. No shorts or beach sandals for women.
BANANAS SNACK BAR - Relaxing atmosphere at this poolside snack bar serving national and international brand drinks as well as snacks during the day.
LOBBY BAR - Open from early evening to late night for cocktails, tropical drinks. Watch your favorite sports or just relax playing cards, backgammon, or dominoes.
POOL BAR - Open mid-morning to early evening.
DONATELLO BAR - Disco/Karaoke bar open from late night to after midnight.
