Room Information
200 suites in a series of 4-7 story, Mediterranean-style buildings forming a L-shape adjacent to the El Cid Marina. All rooms have marina views, kitchenettes, living rooms and in-room safe deposit boxes, all of the water supplied to our guest rooms is thoroughly purified, other amenities include private balconies, private baths, satellite color TVs, air-conditioning, ceiling fans and direct-dial telephones. No extra or rollaway beds are available.
Talk about spacious, the rooms are huge and comfy, and the kitchenettes in the One Bedroom Suite are great for whipping up snacks.
What We'd Change
The price of a secluded beach is feeling cut off from the rest of the Golden Zone. When you need action, a complimentary shuttle gets you to it.

A three-minute complimentary shuttle boat ride takes guests from the marina to the immaculate private beach, where kids can play freely while you relax in peace. A big hit with families are the two heated pools: the zero-entry pool is great for young children, and the rock structures around the lagoon-style pool with waterfalls are prime jumping spots for kids looking for a thrill. Keep an eye on the kids from the 25-ft spa tub, then gather them up to share nachos from Las Iguanas Snack Bar or head for dinner and mahi mahi or prawns at La Marina.
The resort gives guests access to tons of fun at two neighboring El Cid hotels and El Cid Golf & Country Club. Head over to El Cid Castilla Beach for a blast: hold tight on a banana boat ride, take the family out on a Hobie cat or show the kids how it's done on a boogie board. You also have access to Castilla Beach's Kids Club, where kids can play video games and hunt for treasure on the beach while you take advantage of El Cid Golf & Country Club's steam rooms, four-lane lap pool and relaxing spa tub.
Before heading back to the room, stop by the spa and de-stress with a massage and refreshing herbal wrap. El Cid Marina Beach is a hotel that does Mazatlan justice with its spacious, tastefully decorated suites. Families have a wonderful time in the Junior Suite with its matchless views. A complimentary shuttle boat transports guests across the marina to a long, white-sand beach.
Pools
The resort offers two magnificent swimming pools that feature architecturally crafted underwater caves. One features beach entry, a children's section and a swim-up bar and the other has a water slide and waterfalls. Adjacent to the second pool is a 25-ft (7.5-m)-diameter spa tub, the largest in Mazatlan.
Water activities
A complimentary shuttle boat transports guests across the marina to a long beach. The marina is home to a sports-fishing fleet and sailboats that can be rented for snorkeling/swimming/lunch excursions to an offshore island. Other water sports are available at a companion resort 0.75 miles (1.25 km) from the hotel, with complimentary shuttle service between the two resorts from 7am-11pm (hours subject to change). All inclusive guests are provided boogie boards and kayaks (one hour daily; age 12 and older).

A short stroll from El Cid Marina Beach Hotel, El Cid Golf & Country Club features a 27-hole, championship golf course, nine tennis courts and racquetball. Complimentary to all guests is use of the country club's women's and men's locker rooms with saunas and steam rooms, an 82-ft (25-m), four-lane lap pool and a six-person spa tub in a garden.
