Your unforgettable dive vacation begins at the all-inclusive El Cid La Ceiba Beach Hotel, located on Cozumel's pristine southern shore. With its own on-site dive center, the resort is only minutes away from some of the best diving in the world. Before heading to the beach, you'd better grab your sunglasses. The sparkling white sand is gorgeous, but the light is intense. The free-form pool, with a special kiddie area and extended deck that juts up to the sea, is a refreshing alternative. From a comfy lounge, you can gaze across the turquoise waters to cruise ships docking nearby.

Good Vacation
The vacation was really good, the service was great, and the hotel (room, pools, beach) were really good. The only thing we didn't like was the food. There weren't many options for food, one restaurant only and the same menu for the 8 days we were there.

Relaxed in Cozumel
El Cid is a nice hotel - the room we were in was spacious with a living room kitchen combo, and an attached bedroom. There was a large shower as well as over sized tub in the bedroom area. Small fridge to put drinks and food in was included, plus all dining utensils i.e. forks, knifes, spoons, glasses...
The room's overlook the west side of the island. There is a decent sized beach plus scuba shop on grounds. The water can only be descibed as God's swimming pool with 100' + visibility! There is a large roped of area that El Cid has to snorkel or swim in.
Food at El Cid was very good, and the service was excellent. The only negative I could give would be that it takes a while for the food, but it is the same all over the island - I assume it is due to the freshness of the food (all fresh tasty ingredients).
I would definitely return to El Cid La Ceiba!

Room Information
Accommodations at the El Cid La Ceiba Beach were totally renovated with new furnishings, beds, mattresses, flooring, fixtures, and linens in spring 2006. All 60 guestrooms have balconies or terraces with anti-hurricane protection and views are of the Caribbean. Bathrooms have marble soaking tubs, cable/satellite TV, in-room safes, refrigerators, and coffeemakers are provided. Rooms are booked in the European Plan, which includes room accommodations only, or the All-Inclusive Plan.
This intimate beachfront hotel has only 60 rooms, and all of them have recently been completely renovated.

The cruise ship terminal close to El Cid La Ceiba Beach Hotel Cozumel can be busy. Of course, the ships can be fascinating to watch.
