Nice Resort but not Fabulous Food
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Dream Los Cabos, but found ourselves wishing for better food. The rooms were quite nice and very clean. The pool was nice and the views gorgeous. The beach was ok, but the sand is pretty rough and you can't swim in the ocean because of the horrible current. We did see a lot of whales though! I like the size of the resort. It had two separate pools and several restaurants, but it never took more than a couple of minutes to get from your room to where ever you needed to be in the resort.
Because for us, the only disappointing part of the trip was the food, I will focus on that. When we go on vacation, we want fantastic food! Not just ok, but fantastic. This food was ok, definitely not fantastic. Many other reviews had positive things to say about Portofinos. We ate there on our 3rd night and did not enjoy it at all. My daughter's tortellini were cold and my sea bass was way too salty to even enjoy.
When we arrived we had lunch at the Seaside Grill. My daughter had a hamburger that didn't even look appetizing. I had the club sandwich, which had 1 slice of processed square ham on it along with a slice of turkey that was literally the size of a quarter.
We learned to just eat chips, guacamole, and salsa for lunch by the pool. We found Oceana to be the best option for dinner. Breakfast was ok, but again just mediocre buffet food.
I would not go to this resort again as I am still in search of an all-inclusive resort with fantastic food!

Great place
We loved Dreams Los Cabos. We have stayed at all inclusive resorts before, and this was the best experience we have had. If you see a negative review, ignore it. Granted, people have different experiences based off their past travels or what they were expecting. Some of these people who did post a bad review would complain if you gave them a million dollars would ask for 2 million dollars.
We booked through Cheapcarribean for everything for this trip. No problems, especially since we did the airport to resort transfers.
Check in was just as expected. Of course, they are going to try to set you up for a invitation to their time share presentation. We sort of forgot our invitation (not really) with no problems.
Resort was amazing. Resort wasn't totally booked the time we were there. Food was great (Oriental restaurant was the best for us). Loved the room service. Having room service breakfast was a highlight. Service was incredible. Loved how attentive everyone was (was looking behind the blinds one time, and within 30 seconds, the blinds were open by the wait staff). The bartender at the lobby bar remembered our drink every time we came up.
We upgraded to the honeymoon suite through cheapcaribbean when we booked the trip, and it was perfect for us. Living room had the kitchen, it's own TV, and it's own balcony. Bedroom had the bathroom, it's own balcony, and it's own TV. My wife slept in, while I had a free beer and watched TV and checked email (wi fi cost $60 for the week, but worth it for us). Wi fi was a little slow, but just looked up and enjoyed the view when a website would load up.
Advice: after dinner, go to the fire pit near the lobby. It is lit every night from around 6pm to 11pm. We sat around there, and met some great people. As a result, the next day, it was fun to go to the pool or whatever, and chat with the people you met. At the end of our stay, we pretty much knew everyone who was there.
We would definitely reccommend this resort. We hope to go back there on our next travels.
My husband and I went to the Dreams Resort for five days and when the five days were up, we were not ready to come home.
We were so pleased with this resort. A variety of different restaurants to eat at and the food we had at every place was delicious!! My favorite was the asian Himitsu restaurant.
They have so many fun activities at night. One of the nights they had Casino Night. The next night they had Karoke Night, so we sang and danced the night away!! On one of the other nights they had live music and buffet close to the beach. They food was amazing that night!! They also had a bonfire and we all sat around the fire and had drinks and we had a BLAST!! I couldn't believe how good the service was as well. Pepe comes to mind because he was always there with another drink when ours got low. He was AWESOME!!!
I HIGHLY recommend Dreams Los Cabos Resort for your Cabo vacation. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!!! We will definitely be back!!
Thank you Cheap Caribbean for a GREAT deal and Thank you Dream Los Cabos for one of the BEST vacations we have ever been on!!

beautiful wedding
Our daughter got married at dream and we couldn't have asked for more. The property was beautiful, the staff super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that we did not know that you can not swim in the beach due to under currents. We were a little upset, this is a beautiful beach and we would have loved to enjoy the water.

I have 15 year old boy twins, has anyone been to his hotel with teenage boys and can you tell me if there was plenty for them to do?6 answers

Dandy Dad
Dreams resorts are considered very family friendly. In addition to the numerous excursions available off the property, their all inclusive plan includes kayaking, volleyball, ping pong, and a number of other activities to keep your teenagers occupied!
KateCC
It depends on how long you stay. It has swimming, ping pong horse shoes, pool, excercise machines, beach, putting green.
There is fishing in Cabo and San Jose as well as Zip Lines and ATVs. There are many other activities in the general area.
NWRiver
There are plenty of activities for all ages to do at the resort. In the town, there's even more to do. They have snorkeling, diving, swim with dolphins outside of the resort. At the resort, they have beach volleyball, water volleyball, bocci ball, movies on the beach nightly, nightly entertainment for all ages, putting green, can arrange golf trips, horseback riding right outside the complex, and many other activities that are too many to remember. I think your family would enjoy their stay very much.
Memphis1962
IMO, no. I just camed back from my trip and the resort has minimal activites, it is even boring for adults. My recommendation is Riu which we have been in Costa Rica, they have entertainment and aciti vites throughout the day but you may want to verify that with others who have kids.
waterseeker
While I really like Dreams, I'm not sure it will be a big hit with 15 year olds.
Most activities, fishing, ziplining, ATV etc. have to be accessed via a shuttle. The beach at the resort is non-swimming, and again you shuttle (at added expense) to surfing and swimming beaches. You really cannot walk anywhere from the Dreams Resort, and cabs are expensive.
We talked about our 17 year old coming along on a future trip and thought she would not be happy.
Despite this it is a really great resort.
CityKid
There is tennis, a gym, a nightclub (although we never went to it and I have no idea of age requirements for that). There is also a little putting green for golfing, and sand volleyball. They have entertainment staff that encourage people to participate in all of those activities as well as a daily water volleyball game in the pool.
However, I will say that, at least when we were there, I didn't see any teenage boys. I brought my 17 year old daughter and she loved it, but our only plan was to relax by the pool and purposely not do anything. It was perfect for that! Most of the kids we saw were 10 or younger. None in their teens.

Can this resort accomodate a family with 3 children?2 answers
My husband and I have three children ages 7, 6 and 3. Can this resort accommodate us? Or, would we have to pay for 2 rooms?
Gayle
Hi Gayle,
Thank you for your question. It can be a challenge travelling with three children. This particular resort has a maximum occupancy requirement and only allows a max of 4 people in the room. If you would like to stay at this resort it would be necessary to book two rooms. Please feel free to call one of our experienced destination specialists for available options at alternative resorts which may be able to accomodate all of you in one room.
ccsusan1
Gayle,
You and your family will fit into any room you choose. Request a roll away and you will be fine., ENJOY! This is a beautiful resort. One thing you can not swim at this beach the under current is really bad.
MamaB
Are there several poolside umbrellas?3 answers
One in our party of 4 has to stay in the shade so umbrellas are a must. Thank you.
Washington state
The resort does have umbrellas on the beach but they are first come first serve.
DanielleCC
If you get to the pool ealy enough, you can get an umbrella. Or, if you go to the "adult" pool, shade takes over pretty early in the afternoon due to the position of the buildings and the pool.
BradandRachel
Yes, there were a lot of pool side umbrellas and very easy to find shade if you wanted it.

Are the swimming pools heated? Especially in mid-march? I have a 1.5y boy and I'm wondering if he will get cold in the swimming pools...2 answers

Virginia
Yes, all the pools are heated, the temperature is controlled.
KellyCC
Yes, I specifically felt hot water spraying into the pool, so they must be heated. And the temperature was very comfortable.

The resort boasts an infinity pool, which appears to blend into the sea, as well as a tranquility pool for adults only and a kid's pool. No need to get out for a drink; just paddle over to one of the two swim-up bars for a Negra Modelo or a mai tai. When you're ready for more, Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa offers something to get your heart racing: Euro-bungee. Low-key opportunities include cooking classes and cocktail-mixing lessons.
Dinner at Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa is an adventure. By candlelight at Portofino, savor beef tenderloin with goat cheese in marsala sauce; or choose a rib-eye steak with mushrooms at Seaside Grill, an open-air restaurant beside the infinity pool. After dinner, catch a movie on the beach, or kick up your heels at Desires Music Lounge.
At this Dreams resort, there are no ordinary rooms. Every guest stays in an elegant luxury suite with separate living and sleeping areas, and every suite includes a private terrace with a view of the sea. Soak a while in the luxury bathtub, and then bask in the moonlight from a private terrace.
The resort is close to eight world-class golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, II and Jack Nicklaus, among others. If you visit between December and March, one must-do is a whale-watching trip. Thousands of gray whales, having migrated from Alaska, calve in the waters off Cabo San Lucas. And anyone interested in art will want to visit Todos Santos, an artist colony that has taken root in a picturesque town once home to sugarcane mills.
