our stay
Dreams Cancun is more than i ever expected!
The resort is fabulous, very well maintained, the staff (all) is very friendly, polite and always there for our needs.
The pools, activities and the grounds are meticulous.
The restaurants are near perfect, the food was excellent and we were never disappointed.
Even the World Cafe restaurant had different world foods daily!
The rooms were fabulous.we stayed at the Preferred Club building; a little more quaint for our enjoyment.
The beaches were beautiful, always manicured in the early morning.
Towels were always available near the beach / pool areas.
Also activities were different every day !!!

Best Vacation!
We researched a lot of resorts to stay at and we're very happy that we picked this resort because it is the only resort in Cancun with the ocean on all three sides. When we arrived they didn't have our room with the the king bed but did move us the next day. We paid extra for the VIP but everyone got the same treatment. We also stayed in the tower, which I would do again, with a view of the ocean but if you like to see the dolphins every morning I would stay in the other part of the hotel. We ate in all of the restaurants and they were all very good with LOTS of variety. The Seaside grill was our favorite, I had one of the best steaks. We also liked that the had Bud, Bud Lite, Jack, Jim ect. We will return to this resort again or another Dreams.

Nice Resort!
We were at Dreams in April 2012 in Room # 6073. The view was breath taking.
Pros: The view, the staffing, Beaches, Service. The room was very nice and clean.
Cons: The A/C in the room, complained several times and they stated it was fine, never went under 75 degrees in the room others have complained about it. The buffet was comparable to the Golden Corral nothing to write home about. Another restaurants where fine but not great. The other thing was VIP service rep pushing for preferred club aka time share.
Overall: We had a good time. The staffing was awesome, they could not do enough for you. The food was OK but not great. The Hotel was very clean. The Beaches was very nice. We would return, but would not stay in the Tower, the rooms are just as nice in the pyramid side with the ocean views and cheaper.

Thiefs!!
Our Kids Ipods were dead so left in room to charge, they went missing along with charger shortly after the mini-bar guy was there. I understand that they are not responsible, but they didnt even apologize and were rude when i said calmly that i was upset. I have been to many Caribbean destinations and have never had any thing stolen.

This is a friendly resort...very family friendly. When you say "partner" if you are referring to LGBT friendly I think that's just a hit and miss in Mexico...would hope you would be treated well by all. Did see some partners who looked comfortable and relaxed.

Everyone is very friendly!! It's a beautiful place. I went with my children, but found myself thinking how incredibly romantic it would be as a couple! Definately suggest you take the trip if you haven't already!

Yes, the resort is friendly as well as kid friendly. Please read my review of the resort. Overall, for the value great. Food wise, scale from 1-10 a 3. If going to Cancun, go to the show Coco Bongo, you will not be disappointed. Circe De Solei meets Broadway meets impressionators. Amazing!!!

What is the beach like at Dreams Cancun? Is it swimmable? Clean? Rocky? Etc.11 answers
6 months ago
Cait
According to recent testimonials posted on Trip Advisor, there were not any negative reviews regarding the beach at Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa.
MariaCC
Completely swimmable. Very Clean. They have a rocky portion on the other side of the resort as well. That side is not swimmable but great for photos!
MaddieM
The beach at Dreams Cancun was very good (Clean, Swimmable, soft white sand, & scenic). We liked it
Mike1
Swimmable and clean. Not rocky at all.
cmarcospol
Yes, it's swimmable. There are some rocky areas along the edge, but plenty of area that is open.
Ladybird
The beach is white, fine sand and the ocean is great for swimming. Now there are two beaches at this hotel. One beach is a bit tougher as it has shells embedded in the sand. However, it is beautiful and goes for miles, great for walking. This side was also great for body surfing as it was quiet windy and there were many people jumping around in the waves.
Anonymous
We just got back (January) 3 days ago and the water at the beach was wonderful. You can swin with no problems, the sand on the beach was so soft and no rocks or shells for that matter. They keep the beach spotless. The beach on the Atlantic side is a little rougher (meaning waves) but on the bay side the beach is a smaller but great for swimming.
KLM1
The resort actually faces three different sides of the Carribbean. One beach is protected on one side with a large break wall. This beach is sand and very large and very nice. If it is windy (which it seems to be a lot in Cancun) it offers protection and much smaller waves. The beach on the other side is also protected and has an inflatable swim raft and an inflatable climbing raft. This beach is sand with some rock mixed in; but mostly sand. The bottom of both of these swim areas is sand and very nice. The third area facing the water is rock and is off limits to vacationers. It is beautiful to look at and take pictures of but you cannot climb on it. It is a very steep drop off to the water.
gremlin
Swimmable for sure!! Some rocks, I'm not gonna lie! Definitely Clean.. Beautiful turquoise colored ocean..!
LaurenS
Beaches are very clean. Very "Caribbean"--white sand and clear blue water. Not huge waves. You can swim on the lagoon side but still touch the bottom. Didn't swim at the beach on the Caribbean side (Dreams is surrounded on 3 sides by ocean), but looked the same only it is a longer walk from the water to the beach chairs and umbrellas. Towels are provided, lots of lounge chairs, waiters who bring you drinks, some chairs are under the tropical umbrellas that look like little huts and some aren't if you are looking for a tan.
petunia22
the main beach location is quite rocky and seaweedy in spots, i dont recommend it. Once past the first 50 ft is is ok.
GetITHelp
there is 2 beaches and a lagoon as well, and yes it is wonderful and clean too!

I don't know if they have a water purification but there is bottled water everywhere, in you room, all the bars and rest. No need to bring your own water.

How big is the ocean trampoline?2 answers
On the list of amenities I see there is an ocean trampoline, but in all the reviews I've read no one has mentioned it. Since that would be a big reason that I would choose this resort, since I think my kids would practically live on it, I'd like to know a bit more about it. Thank you.
Massachusetts
Upon reviewing the photo gallery on the resort's website, http://www.dreamsresorts.com/drecu/photo-gallery.html, you are able to see the Ocean trampoline in the background of the eighth picture.
MariaCC
The resort was not busy when we went, 04/17-22, so there was not a lot of people on the trampoline. You could probably but 5-6 people on the trampoline.

We recommend purchasing the round trip airport transfers. This will provide a guaranteed ride with a very reliable company that will schedule your pick up from the airport to the resort, and back to the airport at the end of your stay. You can purchase them through Cheap Caribbean-simply call Existing Reservations and one of the agents will price thm out for you.
