What I love about this resort:
Situated on beautiful Dover Beach, this family-owned, and friendly but basic hotel is nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the St. Lawrence Gap. Rooms all feature full kitchenettes which is perfect if you want to make the occassional snack.
What I wish I could change:
The property is very quiet, but that is part of the attraction of the hotel.
Why YOU should go:
The hotel is definitely in the budget category, but it's a great deal. Dover beach hotel is situated at the end of the St Lawrence Gap so it is within walking distance from many fine restaurants and cafes on the St. Lawrence Gap itself. Dover Market is close by too. So, if you are looking for a budget property on a beautiful beach, give it a go.

Dover Beach is located on the south coast of Barbados, 15 minutes from the International Airport and the Capital of Bridgetown. The hotel is tucked away on a secluded white sandy beach, yet within easy walking distance of the renowned St. Lawrence Gap. The Gap is famous for its lively nightlife, duty-free shopping, variety of bars and restaurants and a wide range of activities. AQUAMIST POOL BAR & RESTAURANT - Located next to the pool and next to the ocean, this bar offers a full range of drinks and cocktails from 7:00 am 11:00 pm (hours subject to change). In addition to a daily happy hour, Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also served.

Nearby Restaurants include: Cafe Jungles, Josef's, Restaurant At Southsea, Luigi's, and Pisces.

Guest must pay a $1.00 per person, per night Tourism Enhancement Fee upon check-in at the resort.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE - Please be advised there is private construction ongoing to the west of the Dover Flowers block. There is a road which separates the two properties; however, occasionally there is some noise from this project which affects guests located in that particular building. Where possible and subject to availability, the hotel will make every effort to relocate guests affected by the noise to another building.
