The Doubletree Resort by Hilton Puntarenas, a modern, full-amenity, all-inclusive resort hotel, is perfectly situated alongside a beach of the Central Pacific region outside the port city of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. At Doubletree Resort by Hilton Puntarenas you can play your favorite sports such as tennis, water polo, beach volleyball, soccer, ping pong and many more. Those who wish to stay fit during their vacations will be interested in our High and low-impact aerobics and aqua aerobics programs, or using the exercising machines at our indoors gym. Horseback Riding Tours are also offered and require an additional fee.

The hotel has two illuminated tennis courts that are open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm daily (reservation required; times subject to change), and feature a tennis professional on staff in case lessons are needed. Tennis racquets and balls are available free of charge.

The Kid's Club features a program of activities for children 4-12 years old, always supervised by a team of responsible adults and open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily (subject to change). At the Kids Club, your children can choose between learning crafts, play video games, foosball, kid movie shows, body painting, sandcastle building and beach and pool activities. Drinks and snacks are also offered.

Every evening, the kids own the stage and participate in activities that bring out their best and keep them laughing, guaranteeing a full day of fun. Saturday night is a special Kid's Club Weekend Party, complete with clowns, pinatas, special invited guests, face painting, sand castle building, water tag and eating ice cream sundaes. We know how to make your kids happy!

After the sun sets, the fun goes on! After dinner, take a seat and enjoy the live night shows! Great fun for all ages! Every evening is proud to present its new production of exceptionally choreographed dance presentations, well known for its professionalism and top quality standards of excellence. Artistic presentations, acrobatics, impersonations and dance numbers where participation of our guests is encouraged, complete our nightly show offerings.

After the show, visit the El Mastil Bar to enjoy a delicious drink and prove your singing skills at our Karaoke sessions! A vast repertoire of popular songs in both Spanish and English will make you become the star of the night!

If all you wish is to dance all night long, the Disco Sports Bar is open every night, featuring sizzling dance music, pool tables, dart boards and a cool bar to create a great atmosphere to party!

Try your luck at the resorts Casino, where you can gamble in the slot machines, feeling the adrenaline of the emotions at the black jack table or the excitement of the roulette. Come and enjoy the atmosphere of the gamblers while having a drink and deciding your next best move. The Casino features Rummy, Roulette, Caribbean Stud Poker, Pai Gow, and Slot Machines. CANA BRAVA - Seafood is Cana Brava's specialty. Indulge yourself with the most exquisite dishes featuring the flavors of the sea in a natural, outdoorsy setting, surrounded by the vastness of the Pacific Ocean. Reservations required. Dinner only.
TOSCANY - The more exclusive Italian-style cuisine has its place at Toscany. Enjoy the finest culinary demonstration of highly specialized chefs. A la carte service in an air-conditioned environment. Reservations required. Dinner only.
BEACH CLUB - The Beach Club is the ideal place to savor a quick meal, offering plates that are delicious without being overly-elaborate, and that feature a rich variety of seafood appetizers and hors d'oeuvres.
EL PELICANO SNACK BAR - A place specialized in fast food - an instant kid's favorite! Sodas, drinks and cocktails are also served here.
EL PARGO POOL BAR - At the main pool, wind down with a margarita, a whiskey sour, or any other cocktail of your choice.
EL MALECON POOL BAR - Delight yourself with refreshing prepared drinks while admiring the beautiful view from the levee.
TUCAN FRUIT BAR - A generous bar of tropical fruits, natural milkshakes and delicious granizados (crushed ice and syrup), a longtime Costa Rican sweet treat and a favorite heat-buster.

This beautiful Resort features 314 comfortable room units. Our standard rooms have 2 double beds or one King bed and our Suites feature a queen or king bed and a bed that doubles as a couch. Every room has air-conditioning, telephone, bathroom with shower or bathtub, cable TV, spectacular oceanviews, the pools or our gardens, hair dryer, safe deposit box ($) and cribs (upon request). Rooms located on the first floor feature a terrace with an exit to the gardens or the pool area.

Transfer Options: Transfers offered (for purchase only) are private transfers and guests will be the only party which will be picked up from the airport for the transfer to the resort. The rate is valid for round trip transfers for 1-7 passengers.

This resort requires a 3 night minimum stay for travel December 24, 2009 through January 3, 2010 and again from March 29, 2010 through April 4, 2010.

DEPARTURE FEE: Please be advised that there is a $26 USD per person departure fee due and payable upon leaving Costa Rica. Fees are subject to change without notice at the discretion of the Costa Rican government. It is possible that this fee is included in the cost of your airline ticket -- please consult the airline on which you are traveling to verify.
