Not a good option for an all inclusive trip

Although the resort was nice and relaxing, I would not recommend for someone who is looking to go as part of an all inclusive. The pools were very small and the meal options were limited. The four restaurant options include the grill, a breakfast/sandwich place that is only open until 2:30, the "pool" bar, and the buffet. They ask you to make a reservation for the one restaurant, so we thought that the breakfast buffet would turn into a nicer place at night where we ordered off the menu, but it was just a dinner buffet. We got dressed up thinking we needed to since we had to make a reservation, but everyone was very dressed down. Additionally, when I think of all inclusive, I think that I am going to have someone coming around to ask me what I want to eat or drink; however, there was no service. In addition, I was hoping for something as simple as a mimosa for breakfast, but they did not start serving alcohol until after 11 a.m. With that being said, the resort does not cater well to those wanting to do an all inclusive. I would only recommend it to people who are going to explore the island and eat out most of the days. The resort is right on the beach and the beach is beautiful; however, the women coming around asking for massages and hair braiding are annoying.

Good place for price we paid

Clean resort, semi friendly wait staff - they became friendlier the longer we were there... Loved Gizmo the mascot parrot. Had a great one bedroom suite on the beach. We would suggest to housecleaning to sweep the patios and walk ways. Top shelf liquor not included in the All Inclusive option..should have said no name brand liquor .however we ordered a few top shelf drinks and didn't have to pay for them at check out. Very quiet & peaceful resort. Cannot walk to Phillipsburg-need to taxi. Not much to do on property- it was a nice, quiet relaxing vacation that we were looking for.

All Inclusive /Timeshare Resort

I went to this resort with 2 girlfriends. We picked this resort because of the excellent reviews. We called Cheap Caribbean many times asking if the room would fit a roll away bed and received conflicting answers. When we arrived the bed did fit but was to small for an adult. I will start with the pros: the resort sits on a beautiful bay where you can watch the cruise ships come and go.The beach and water are beautiful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The food at the restaurant is very good and the staff is very accommodating. Great breakfast. There are 2 pools that overlook the ocean. Resort is close to Phillipsburg. The Cons: when we arrived on Thursday March 2, we were given room 1011, walked in , it was either occupied or not made up , went back to main desk and complained, then given another room. This was inconvenient. This resort is half time share and half hotel, there are many time share residents on the property. I was so disappointed we could only eat at one restaurant , and could only order off the menu for dinner, I presumed for an all inclusive there would be a buffet every nite and/or different restaurants. On Friday March 3 the restaurant was short staffed and we had to wait over an hour for our dinner, eating at 9pm. Who wants to eat at 9pm?. I was disappointed there was only one large restaurant for dinner and 2 bars for bar food . I soon found out this resort was all Timeshare at one time, and Divi took it over.It is not for the young couple that whats to have a good time, the band stops at 10pm. From what I understand the bar and band was once in front of the hotel. This resort is quite and relaxing, good for the older crowd or families. I would recommend renting a car for the day and exploring the island , lots to see, ! easy to drive., do not forget to stop at Sunset Beach. Also take a ferry to St. Barts.

Nice getaway

Not a traditional all inclusive. Only breakfast is buffet lunch and dinner you order from menu. The food was good. Service could be very slow. Bed was very comfortable. Room nothing special and small especially bathroom. Beach beautiful. Close to town and short ride to airport. $20 cab ride to airport. $10 ride to town. Never a problem getting beach chair and umbrella for shade. Don't be thrown when you have to sign for every meal and drink.

Surrounded by shimmering blue waters and fronted by a charming beach, this spot is made-to-order for romance. Grab your partner's hand and head to the beach for activities throughout the day. Strap on a mask, fins and snorkel in order to check out life below the water's surface.

Or, for a more relaxing experience, you can visit the spa instead. Flickering candles cast dancing shadows on the wall as you're guided by a therapist through each step of an instructional massage session designed for couples staying at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort on St. Maarten. "The Art of Touch" is just one of the treatments at Indulgence by the Sea, the resort's spa.

Treat your lover to a candlelit dinner at the beachfront restaurant, Toucan's, or choose an outdoor table just a few feet from the water's edge. Try the snapper for dinner, and you won't be disappointed. Candlelight, moonlight and the crashing of the surf make Toucan's a dreamy place for sweethearts.

Follow the cobblestone path from the Divi shopping promenade up the hill to Fort Amsterdam, built in 1631, to take advantage of the historic and cultural heritage around the resort.
