Best Island
I highly recommend The Crystal Cove!!!! Everything was top shelve except the liquor......If you like good liquor take a walk to the closest market and buy your own.
Food was excellent and the drinks were all made with fresh fruit. Beaches and pool were also wonderful and they offer a ton of free water sports. Only negative is the they don't start serving dinner until 7pm.
I have been anxiously awaiting this vacation for several months and was finally excited to be going. Despite the morning rain storm that greeted us, the hotel was beautiful. Not too large, but it gave it a more intimate feel, which I preferred. The rooms were decent size and clean. Our only room problem was the first night when our ceiling had a leak and dripped water all over the bed. We informed the management and were moved to a VIP suite at no charge. The upgrade was definitely an added bonus but it was the friendly staff, variety of activities, and food that made the stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and/or family as I had an enjoyable experience. Thank you Crystal Cove for making my friends and I feel comfortable in Barbados!!!
My fiance and I really enjoyed the Crystal Cove HOtel All Inclusive. The only problem was my fiance forget to bring long pants and a collar shirts so they would not allow us to eat in their fine dining room for dinner. A little disappointing but we managed ok with the other rest. which of course, was more casual but the food was very good. We did get to enjoy food in the finer rest. for breakfast and lunch and they offered quite a bit. They offered alot of activities: banana boat ride, water skiing, wind surfing, hobie cat, snorkeling. And there was a reef right at the beach w/ lots of fish. Very beautiful. We became friendly w/ one of the employees and hired him to tour the island. It was sooo much more relaxing cuz driving on the opp. side of the road w/ the wheel on the wrong side of the car (ha ha) would of taken away from our sight seeing. He also brought us to a better reef and we swam w/ the turtles at no extra charge. Those excursions are very expensive. But we had a blast. and one more thing - ya gotta take a ride on the local "yellow bus" for $1.00 it's so worth the adventurous experience. For the price, it was a great deal. Thank you Cheap Carib.

where is the best place to stay for snorkling on beach in Barbados?1 answer
We (husband and I), are looking for a simple, clean place, right on a beach. It would be nice to have a reef right there. We don;t mind cooking our own food, prefer a view out of the room. Any suggestions?

I wanna go there
According to mydestination.com, Most of the diving takes place on the west and south coast barrier and fringing reefs: from Maycocks Bay on the north-west coast to South Winds fringe in the south-west. There is an incredible diversity of marine life on these healthy brightly coloured coral reefs.

Hotel Description
Discover Your Eden at Crystal Cove in Barbados
The sweet scent of frangipani and the brilliant bougainvillea in the hillside garden announce you've arrived at Crystal Cove Hotel All Inclusive, Barbados. With 88 rooms and suites in cottage-style units, this intimate resort is more charming beachfront village than hotel. Even the three lagoon-style pools that merge at a swim-up bar framed by a delightful waterfall add to the magic.
Once you see the sea and beach, you'll be ready to play. Perhaps you aren't an expert at windsurfing or kayaking, but that's no problem. There are experts to help you master wind and water, whether on a surfboard or boogie board, kayak or sailboat. Islanders fancy stand-up paddle boarding, so why not try that too! A clinic at Colony Club, a sister resort, can teach you.
Feel like a casual dinner? Burgers, pasta and chicken at Drifters Beach Bar and Barbecue fill the bill. Prefer elegance and romance? Try roasted-vegetable kabobs or sirloin steak on tarragon-mashed potatoes at Reflections. And if you simply want something different, ask about the dine-around program. As a guest of Crystal Cove Barbados, you can dine at any Elegant Hotels restaurant; so board a water taxi that connects the resorts.
What would a Caribbean resort be without calypso music? The hotel often has live entertainment with Caribbean rhythms, or island jazz. One perk here is the personal hammock on select guest room balconies. On a moonlit night with a cool sea breeze, you can spend the evening just chillin' in your hammock.
Welchman Hall Gully is one of the hidden treasures of the island. Hiking into this unspoiled tropical forest gives you the chance to step back in time 300 years, seeing the island as it once was. Another treasure concealed in the central uplands is Harrison's Cave. It seems as though you've entered a different world in this natural wonder of crystallized limestone. And no visit to the island is complete without a tour of the Mount Gay Rum distillery, a cultural icon on Barbados and considered to be the world's first.
