DEVELOPMENT UPDATE:
New for 2009 - The Crane Village, inspired by the heritage architecture of bygone Barbados and steeped in trusted Crane quality, The Crane Village, opening early 2009, is expected to become the new heart of this resort community. This charming town centre, set amongst tropical landscaping, will feature a new reception area, D'Onofrio's for fine Italian cuisine, the Village Cafe or a full cafe menu and the best fresh bread in town, and Bar 1887, a traditional bar where guests will be encouraged to join others in the community for a sip of rum. For Crane people wishing to enjoy superb shopping, they can now stay put and enjoy 3,000 sq. ft of Duty Free shopping, browse for fabulous resort wear at Dingolay Boutique, take home a memory from The Crane signature store, artisan boutique, or art gallery, or keep their fridge fully stocked from The General Store. Guests will enjoy a state-of-the-art fitness centre with fantastic views of the cliff pools and sea beyond and pampering in the two new spa treatment rooms. Also available will be the Town Hall meeting and function space, offering just under 3,000 sq. ft. of flexible space for meetings, receptions, and private functions. This multi-million dollar renovation is nearing completion and most work is now being done inside as to not interfere with the guest's experience.

While The Crane remains steeped in Barbadian history, the property also offers 21st century conveniences and amenities. There are 146 suites all with kitchens or kitchenettes. Ground floor suites feature "infinity edge" private pools, while all two-bedroom residences on the upper floors feature individual plunge pools. Crane suites also feature oversized whirlpool baths, spa showers with multiple showerheads, DVD players and in-room Internet access. The resort also offers wireless Internet access in the lobby and around the renowned main pool.

The rooms and suites of the historic resort -- inspiration for the new development -- are each unique in design and location, all with authentic antique furnishings. Many feature original coral stone walls, spectacular views, and elegant canopy or four-poster beds. Once part of a private mansion built in 1790, this part of the resort was first expanded and established as a hotel in 1887; it was recently restored.

There is a 3 night minimum stay required, however there is a 4 night minimum required for travel from February 1, 2010 through April 25, 2010.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: there is a $1.50 per room, per night OPTIONAL Tourism Fund Levy that will be added to your bill. It will be payable upon check-out at the resort should you wish to contribute.
