Most Amazing Service; Feel at Home

Just spent a week at CSA and it was the most BEAUTIFUL vacation we've ever taken. We're already planning our next trip. We won't stay anywhere else in Jamaica because this resort had it all and the staff made the trip go from wonderful to perfect. The resort is BIG. The best part is it's on the prettiest stretch of 7 Mile Beach. We stayed in the great house verandah suite and loved it. The great house is host to Patois Patio restaurant, Aura Lounge, Casino Room, Feathers restaurant, gift shops, photo shop and tour desk. The top two floors consist of rooms. Our room was spacious, always clean (daily cleaning PLUS turn down service in the evening) and the furnished patio was a relaxing space to have a cup of coffee each morning. My favorite part about CSA is the staff. Each and every person, from the front desk to the groundskeepers to the restaurant servers were AWESOME. Truly the most genuine and nicest people we've ever encountered. We felt so loved and at home every second of every day. The beach is gorgeous. The sand is always soft and never hot. The water is always at least 82 degrees and the seas are pretty calm for the most part. Staff at the Water Activities hut is very knowledgable and is always looking to have fun with the guests and make sure you're having a good time. Lemon Grass was our favorite restaurant. It's an outdoor, open-concept that overlooks the main pool and the breathtaking sunset. Great Asian food! You need reservations so as soon as you arrive at the resort make sure to call the reservation desk and book a slot or two! Our server was Leo (who we requested numerous times). Leo is fantastic!!!!! He is an outstanding waiter who made sure everything about our dining experience and vacation was top notch. Lemon Grass sits right above The Palms restaurant. When you walk up the stairs from the Palms to go to Lemon Grass you'll find the best bartenders working the Martini Bar right at the top of the steps. Terello will make your night. He is funny, charming and loves what he does. And he makes great martinis!!! All the guys at the martini bar had us laughing and having fun each night. Terello, Olando, Johnny... they won't disappoint! Make sure to stop there and have some fun with them before and after your dinner pans. There are tons to do both on and off the resort and lots of the trips are complimentary like a local shopping trip, Pushcart restaurant, etc. Some things you have to pay extra for (Rick's Cafe every day at 4pm-7pm for $30 per couple) The swim up bar at CSA was packed every day. They also had amazing bartenders. During the couple of times it rained (very quickly) the bartenders and other staff members were engaging guests in games to keep up the fun when the sun wasn't shining. Other guests at the swim up bar and pool were always so nice and friendly. This is where we always met new couples and even became friends with a few. If you're thinking about CSA... do it!! It's truly an unforgettable experience and the staff goes out of there way just to make sure you're always smiling and having fun. You won't leave with any regrets of disappointment, I promise!

Lots to do

We spent 4 days at Couples Swept Away in Negril and could have spent 2-3 more days there. To do: The beaches were beautiful and so relaxing. There were many water activities to participate in if you chose to. The catamaran was fun and the water was beautiful to swim in, I have never seen water so crystal clear and blue! Our guides for the snorkeling were so friendly and the sight were pretty, we just had some bumpy/ wavy ocean water that day. The pools were okay, but a little outdated. We did not participate in a lot of the night life, but heard there was a lot to do! The sports complex across the road was a hidden gem. So much to do there from the tennis courts, to the walking track, to the weight room, to the spas, the raquetball courts, lap pool, etc. It was very nice and very well maintained. Rooms: We went with another couple, our room had very outdated tile and bathrooms, our friends had a room with much more updated features. Ask for a 1st floor room, the patio area was very relaxing to sit on in the morning or evening. Housekeeping was very good. The mini bar was restocked with anything you requested. Restaurants: The buffet and made to order omelets for breakfast, along the the mimosa and bloody mary bar was a great way to start the day. The Patios was delicious, as was Feathers. We did not enjoy the buffet or Lemongrass as much. Sea Grapes for lunch was the best for a quick lunch! Service: We loved every bartender and waiter at the sit down restaurants. There was a small handful of staff, usually at the buffet or quicker eating areas that were hesitant to help you out or appeared annoyed you asked them for something else (like low or nonfat milk instead of the whole milk). Random: There was a small population of cats that would follow through the resort area (not on the beaches) you when you had food or if you were eating on your patio. I don't mind cats, but thought it was a little strange.

Fantastic

My wife and I came back to Couples Swept away 12 years after we first stayed and are so glad we did. We have stayed at other well know resorts in Jamaica and this one is our favorite. Whether you want to relax on the beautiful sugar sand beach all day or keep busy working out or doing other activities they have it all. The food was great and you definitely will not go hungry or thirsty. The employees are very friendly, helpful and prompt. We booked through Cheap Caribbean 4 months in advance and got a great deal as well. Very easy. Only thing that was a struggle for us is the check in process of the resort. They do a very nice welcome and overview which I could do without or plan an evening or morning to review. When you've been traveling all day you want to check in quickly and get to your room and start your vacation.

Everything we expected and more

This was our first trip to the Caribbean. Jamaica seemed to offer the best value with the quality of the beaches, and resorts for the cost. Everything about this place was exactly what we had hoped for especially it being our first trip, we weren't sure what to expect. Many of the people we met there booked through a travel agent but we were easily able to book through the cheapcaribbean website, plane tickets and all. The swim up bar was our favorite. The dinner crowd can get busy at the 2 main houses so plan ahead for that. If there is one thing that wasn't perfect it was the food at the Lemon Grass restaurant, I'd recommend skipping that one and going to Feathers instead. Make sure to sign up for the things you want to do as soon as you get there because some activities fill up fast and also some activities may be canceled due to strong winds or storms. The one thing we regret not doing is going to Ricks Café on the cliffs. We went by it on the sailing cruise and wish we had made time to go there by land. This was probably the most enjoyable vacation we have ever taken. Best of all there were no kids running around.
