Great location - very comfortable
Comfort Suites was a great place to stay, especially if you are on a budget. There is no dining available right on the property, but 2 restaurants just around the corner. There is one bar on the property. The breakfast is just ok, but enough to give you a bite to eat in the morning. It lists yogurt on the menu, but you have to ask for it. We walked to the grocery store just down the road and kept snacks and drinks in the room. Be prepared for sticker shock! Everything is very expensive! We were told not to drink the water, so we got a case of water at the store. Not a big deal. Even though the manager said it was ok to drink the water, another person at the desk said not to, as well as the other guests we asked. Cabs are expensive, so rent a car for the day. It is very worth it. We drove to Taylor Bay. If you can find it, it is a beautiful beach. Very few people. Super shallow and warm. We found some starfish. We also went to Turtle Cove. Don't bother going to Da Conch Shack - was pretty dumpy. Go next door instead to Horse Eye Jack.
Dining is also expensive, but we found a couple of pizza places that were comparable to prices at home and very good. Pizza Pizza is just down the road and same for Hey Jose! Hey Jose is very good mexican food and pizza. Try a bucket of margaritas - yum! The restaurant around the corner from the hotel is Jimmy's Dive Bar. Nice pub, but very slow service - very slow! Be sure to try conch on the island - its delish! Danny Buoys has good pub food.
Stop in at Mama's Shop just past the dive shop. Prices are good and those ladies are great!
We went snorkeling down at Coral Gardens. There is a reef right off the beach and a neat place for dining and drinks called Somewhere. You can walk down there, but a long walk from the hotel - about an hour. You can rent gear right at the beach.
I would stay at the Comfort Suites again. Its clean and the people are nice and the location is great! The pool is nice also. Not all the rooms have balconies, some just have windows and some do not overlook the pool - so be sure to verify. The beach is a 3 minute walk away and is gorgeous!

One of FEW decent budget options on Provo
I've traveled extensively in the Caribbean and Bahamas, and was pleasantly surprised by Comfort Suites Ports of Call. Arriving before noon from JFK, my 20 year old daughter and I were greeted warmly, and processed quickly. Before we could change to hit the much ballyhooed Grace Bay Beach, our room was ready. There was nothing outstanding about it, but beds were reasonably comfortable, and everything worked well. One day later...without prompting...we were transferred to a much nicer, totally refurbished room on the opposite wing. The included continental breakfast was sometimes chaotic, and not everything was always available, but in a place as expensive as Provo, it was nice to have. The property has a nice enough pool, a bar and is about a five minute walk to it's reserved section on Grace Bay Beach. It was very convenient to have two restaurants, an ice cream place, and a couple of decent shops literally across the street, as well as a supermarket across the street in another direction. Rooms have small refrigerators, free WiFi, and our second room had a pleasant balcony with view. Overall, at least for my visit, a very friendly place with surprisingly good service, without the hoidy toidy isolation and chilly aloofness of some Provo lodging options.

A good value
The Comfort Suites was quite adequate fpr our needs. The rooms were clean. The towels were replaced daily and the beds changed every other day. The only negative was that there was a musty smell in the room, but I understand that some of the pricier hotels had that too.The staff was always helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect. We walked to everything and never needed to take a taxi. There's a new grocery store across the street that had everything we needed. There are numerous good restaurants nearby. The beautiful beach was just a short walk away, too. Compared to the expensive alternatives, we thought it was a good value.

The resort has its own section of beach which has tiki huts, chaise lounges, umbrellas and beach towels-all provided free of charge. The beach is just a short walk away, however there is also complimentary shuttle service to/from the beach provided to Comfort Suites guests. Bicycles would be an additional charge.

No, umbrellas were not provided, but two small covered areas were.
